  • Wonderful

One of the most knowledge reinforcing music theory apps I’ve tried and kept
  • Music Tutor review

I was looking for an application to improve my piano music sight reading that would quiz bass clef "and treble" clef "simultaneously" as you would view on music sheet... One over the other; in other words a whole measure wouldn't be necessary, just two clefs... There is no such application. That being said, this is my favorite app out there. I would also include "Note squish" a little fun while you are learning. I find Music Tutor more beneficial as at least you can quiz yourself on bass and clef without resetting.. Still if you are going to improve dramatically the "left and right brain" must learn to work simultaneously . Somebody out there has to create such an app. Call it "serious sight reader"

  • Perfect note recognition app

This app is just what I was looking for. It quizzes your note recognition in the treble clef alone, bass clef alone, or both by randomly mixing them. I like that you can easily specify the range of notes, and that it goes up to 3 ledger lines above and below BOTH staves. It quizzes you flash card style, telling you only if you were right or wrong during the quiz, but then allows you to review your mistakes after the quiz. Works perfectly on my iPad Air. It is uncluttered and straightforward, just what I appreciate as an adult amateur musician.

  • Nice but...

This app would be 5 stars if it kept track of your progress and allowed you to choose the range of notes that you wish to learn. I agree with others - the flats and sharps get annoying and I wish they could be turned off. I just want to learn the notes. Also, the algorithm that is used to generate notes seem to be giving me the same group of notes over and over again. It would also be useful to know how many notes you got wrong and how many you got right at the end of each session. Other than that, simple to use and I'm glad I can have it on my iPhone too.

  • Good but I would like to see 2 updates

I would give it a five if I saw two updates. First would be the sight reading more than one note at a time. As a pianist this would help. And secondly, I don't like how the noise it makes when you guess correctly or incorrectly is different from the actual note you guessed. It makes the sound of the note, which it plays right before, almost pointless. It would be great if when you guessed a certain note it would play that note rather than a boop noise. This way if you guessed the wrong note you can hear the difference and it helps you work toward perfect pitch. Whichever programmer thought that the boop sound was a good user-friendly idea obviously wasn't thinking correctly.

  • Great App

I love this app. It's helped my sight reading immensely. I love the new immediate response feature where it shows you right then if you're correct or not. Some people have complained, but I no longer have to take my eyes off of the staff and up to my Accuracy Percentage to know if I was right, which was a problem for me. Also, some people have complained about the amount of notes that are on ledger lines, but again, I loved it because it forced me to learn them very quickly. I used to be terrible at them, but now i read ledger lines just as easily as normal notation. A truly helpful app, and fun too. I play this instead of the games on my iPhone/iPad. 5 out of 5 for me.
