Description of Dyscalculator

Many challenges can be met when calculating. With the Dyscalculator, these challenges will become smaller and fewer. The Dyscalculator is a regular calculator AND a helpful tool that: helps you understand numbers. helps you choose the arithmetic operation. UNDERSTAND NUMBERS: The more ways you experience a number, the better chance you have to understand it. In Dyscalculator numbers are presented in four different ways: Number symbol (76) Worded numbers (seventy-six) Audio (numbers can be read out loud) Graphical (numbers can be illustrated as bars) A common mistake is to type in the digits of a number in the wrong order. With the Dyscalculator you can easily swap the digits around until you get the correct number. CHOOSE ARITHMETIC OPERATION: Four new arithmetic operations will help you when you need to know how an arithmetical problem should be solved. The new arithmetic operations help you when e.g. the question could be: "What should I multiply with, when I have a recipe for 4 people, but I need it for 7?" Here you would type 4 x? 7 and get the result 1.75.

Reviews of Dyscalculator

Love the idea, but needs tweaking

This is fantastic in so many ways, and I would use it as my primary calculator, but as it is, it’s not terribly practical for everyday use. Once I’ve done a calculation, “5 + 5 = 10”, I can’t tap “+ 5” to get 15, like a normal calculator. Instead, it reads “5 + 55” and clears the result.

It says you should be able to drag the result of 10 up to one of the first spots to do this, but it’s not working on my XR running the latest OS. It would be great if the result automatically went into the top spot so you could continue a string of calculations, like adding up a list of numbers.

Amazing capabilities though! I especially like the ability to say 5 + ? = 10” Thanks for taking the time to create this!

Useless

You can only do one level of calculation on this calculator. What I mean is that for example, say that you are calculating hourly wage into yearly salary. Start with the hourly rate times forty then take that number and multiply it by twelve. But you can't! Don't take my word for it, try it and you'll see the flaw.
