Consistently disappointing

I can never get this app to work whether i am just looking in my area or trying to add a sighting

Disappointed

Still not working, which is such a shame as the ALA database is pretty good.

Stupid

Doesn’t work

Great intention but needs work

I would love to use this app if it worked well but alas it doesn't do much. I imagine this app to be useful for identifying and logging sightings of flora and fauna in your area but unfortunately things don't load properly and I couldn't scroll down through the different categories.

Not updated

This is a terrific app which has not kept up with the iOS updates. It no longer functions properly and does no scroll through all the wonderful flora and fauna on offer. This restricts you to only the animals on the fit on the first page (mostly those that start with the letter A as it is listed alphabetically!) such a shame as it was a brilliant app and worth of support.

OzAtlas

It is useless if you can't scroll down (and you can't!!)

Needs improvements

Difficult to navigate, pages don't load properly so you can't scroll down and in this day and age with the amount of passwords and pins we need to remember, where is the "forgot password?" bit? I look forward to the improvements so that simply adding what you have seen isn't too difficult

Buggy

Could be a useful tool or guide but it is so buggy that it is essentially useless. It constantly freezes, wont scroll, wont load pages you select. It would also be better if there was a listing in sections of species one could select from.As it is you already have to know what you are looking for or you wont get anywhere. Looks good, could be potentially very good but needs a lot of work. I hope they continue development, I do like the concept.

Useful but limited

Keyword search needs some work. Being able to search by butterfly for example and being able to see butterflies, not butterfly fish.

Ultimate reference for species in the Australian region

This app taps the full Australian database of 35 million species observations (as of November 2012) so is excellent for finding out what is where and for finding out what species are in any area. The app also enables you to enter any observations and the data goes into the national database. The app is intuitive and easy to use, but I'd like it to pick up EXIF information from photos on data entry to save manual entry.

It would also be good to display more information about species from external sources rather than providing links to those resources.

A very neat app!
