Accordingly with your position and time, the sun and moon positions are refreshed in real time into the compass rose. You should rotate the wind rose with your fingers until the rose reach the Sun or the Moon. The rose immediately displays the TRUE NORTH. This application can be very usefull for the mariner navigating in uncertain magnetic areas or to calibrate its main compass.

Saves enormous calculations

This app does exactly what is says. It allows calculation of the solar and lunar azimuths and I need to do this twice a day to check the accuracy of my vessel’s gyro compass. I find this invaluable and I sincerely thank the developer for providing such a useful tool.
