Scrolling is too sensitive to the touch
Overall a good app, especially when you can get your favorite spots to provide fresh updates every couple of days. With that said, once you begin scrolling the list of taps inside the locations profile, I find the app will think I clicked the link for a beer when all I attempted to do was scroll further or perhaps stop the scroll so I can look at the list. Instead it would take me inside the beers profile that I never intended to view...in my estimation, it's too sensitive to the touch.Show lessAnnoying banners
Can't Search
I'm realizing, now, why I had this app once before, but, deleted it. The search function doesn't do anything. I want to find venues in upstate New York for my upcoming bike tour, and when I type in the names of towns, they quickly appear in the drop down to substitute for my current location. When I search for "bars" "breweries" "beer" etc, I get random results from other places and nothing related to the town I'm searching.Show lesscvn76judge

I can't tell you how many times I've gone into a bar on a busy Friday night and have used this app to order a beer! It's so much quicker than waiting for a server to bring a menu. By the time my server gets there, I already know what I want. Every bar should be on TapHunter!Sam S Zen
Great app, would be better if
I use and love this app if I want to find a place nearby where I am currently. Or to see a beer list in a bar that I know I'm going to. But please add a better search feature! I want to be able to search for breweries near where I'm going to be. It would be perfect if I could enter a location and see places near that location rather than just nearby where I am now.Show lessMarie Franks
Needs updated features
I love this app because it is pretty user friendly! I can look for all the beers I've rated, but there are several features that needs to be added:
1) When viewing your reviewed beers, there is no option to search within your list. When I've reviewed over 50 beers I need to be able to filter and search to find the one I'm looking for.
2) For the wish list feature, it's great, but it would be helpful to be able to set when it comes within a certain distance of your location.
3) There are occasions when multiple beers with the same name/brewery show up in a search, and it's not helpful to determine which one to follow or add to the wishlist.Show lessshifted hi
Improvement Needed
I gave the app location permissions while I'm using it and I still get a nag screen to always allow location tracking. It's not going to happen and I should not be nagged all of the time to turn it on all the time.
There needs to be better policing of the information in the beverage database. I searched for one and 3 results appeared for the same beverage. I shouldn't have to follow all 3 to track it, there should only be one listing per beverage.Show lessjustmo
It's great if...
This app is fantastic IF you're perusing for the current beer list at establishments you know already own & use TapHunter. You can also search for a favorite beer using this app, but once again only the establishments using TapHunter who have that beer are going to show up. This app was built as a convenience to their original service as a digital beer board at a bar/brewery. I don't waste my time rating beers, but for the dudes I know who do (and who do so passionately) I would suggest UnTappd. Hope this helps. 🍻Show lessCrissyKölsch
LOVE THIS APP!
This is one of my favorite beer apps to use! It's always extremely reliable when it comes to finding the beer that I am in the mood for! Not only is it really reliable but it lets you know all the craft beer spots around you! It's way better than Untappd. Half the time I use Untappd I get so stoked a beer is available then when I go there's it's not there! TapHunter provides a really nice interface with extremely reliable information! Get Untappd instead
This used to be a pretty reliable app for finding your favorite craft beer in the area or seeing current tap lists in your neighborhood. The last few updates have been awful and destroyed functionality. Now I can't even login through Facebook (I am not setting up a standalone TapHunter profile due to not being able to ever delete it once created, per other reviews). When I am able to login, my location services always turn off after I've enabled them multiple times in the app, and my activity/local feed never works properly.Show lessRoscoe21
Perfect App for the BeerTraveler
This app is perfect for anyone looking for the perfect beer. It's great for when traveling as it helps find the best spots to check out. Allowing you to see what is on tap prior to arrival is genius. I use this app in every city I can. One downside is I wish more participated and some updated more frequently but those cons outweigh the pros of this app.Show lessSsm5032
