July 26, 2016

It's July again, and so we send an excited welcome to new medical students, residents, and fellows! Even though we each have distinct plans for the coming year, one thing is for sure: there will be challenges along the way. And Journal Club wants to help, even if it's a small thing like helping you master the medical literature. This latest version of Journal Club rights a few wrongs in the prior version, and makes things a bit faster too. This is just one incremental step towards keeping Journal Club in tip-top shape for our readers. We'd love it if you'd take a minute to leave us a review on the App Store. Your voice really counts! Again, welcome to all new trainees! Here's to a great first year! — The Journal Club Editors

Reviews of Journal Club

  • Fraud

The app/website does not disclose its ongoing subscription of $7/month and the subscription won’t show on the subscription list on iPhone. I had $7 withdrawn from my account out of nowhere on the second month after my initial purchase.
  • Helpful but..

Love that I can look up landmark studies quickly but the app hasn’t been updated since 2019.. I wish they had new studies on the app
  • Can’t contact them, limited use for gen surg

When I click the buttons to provide feedback or suggest an article, the app says my phone is not configured to send email. Cannot find an email address anywhere in the app or online for support. Limited utility for general surgery, not up to date with latest landmark trials.

    Developer Response

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. Journal Club: Medicine highlights general surgery articles that have particular relevance to internists, but you’re correct that it’s not a great resource for general surgery in, well, general. We tried to convey this with the “medicine” in the title, but sorry for any confusion. Contacting us is easy from the app. You do need to have email set up on your device to make this happen, though. Alternatively you can email us at feedback@journalclubapp.com. Best wishes, Dave David Iberri, MD Wiki Journal Club wikijournalclub.org journalclubapp.com
