  • Very helpful!

The interface is great for learning to read music.
variation between sets of practices with the option to change the speed at which the notes approach is perfect!

I highly recommend this app if wishing to read music.
I play this on the bus-ride home from school, and am seeing lots of improvement in my abilities.

My students love this app. Great music, good repetition, challenging. Only problem is that occasionally the notes flicker at the edge and don't scroll across the page. Reloading the app seems to solve the issue but it's a hassle to keep doing that.

The game is a lot of fun and quite challenging at times. It's the challenge part that keeps me playing! I absolutely LOVE the game music and want to get a CD of it if one is available!
  • Great!

Finding this really useful with my pupils who are finding note recognition difficult. It works through finding each note, first game C then second game C & D etc from a set of notes. At first it includes the letter but these are removed as the game progresses.
  • Great App - Nicely Designed

LMuse has done a great job of turning what is normally a boring round of flash cards into a fun game my piano students will love. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of results this game brings to the Treble Clef reading skills of my students!
  • Bass Cat & Grand Staff Cat, please

As a piano teacher, I would love to see a Bass Cat game and a Grand Staff Cat game added. The Grand Staff game would be most beneficial for pianists because that is how we read music. Thanks!
  • Please unlock the levels

    Hi,

Thank you for your recent updates adding solfege and speeds. I would like you to unlock the levels. Right now there is no way to let the advanced kids play unless I play thru each level myself. Also when the notes are hit, please have the real note sound, not just an arbitrary pitch. Other than that, I enjoy this as a teaching aid.

  • Another great app from LMuse

I downloaded rhythm cat a few months ago and used it with my young students very successfully. They loved using it and now This new app is perfect to help teach how to read music. Great fun and easy to use.
  • Piano teacher review

I really like the concept behind the app. However, I gave it three stars because most of my students would not be able to use it because the notes move too fast for younger children. I will give this a 5 star rating and use it in my studio if they create an update with notes that move slower across the screen and make a staff with larger notes. That would make this an awesome app for students of all ages.

  • Fun while one learns!

Played on iPad 1 which is not as sophisticated as later versions of iPads but I am really learning to read those notes, which is the whole jest of this game. No music background, just a novice learning to read musical notes. Good clean learning.
