Might be good if you pay money, however, it has some issues.
This app has a limited scheme of what a free user can do. Most features are locked behind a paywall and therefore the percentage counter is not accurate because it calculates mainly on what paid users have accesses to. Also it is riddled with adds. From what I have seen on the app it does have ok questions with nice accompanying images. I also find the link to the (chosen) manual quite useful. I wont test the paid version but you can if you want to, just keep in mind the following before buying.
This app has some minor quirks with its question presentation. On the ‘signs quiz’ when a multiple choice sign question comes up (like choose the correct sign: a, b, c, or d), the image cuts off two of the signs on the outside (a and d) so the user cant see them completely. Other questions generally have some multiple choice answers that are the same as other potential answers but worded differently. For example, a railroad sign question I was given had the answers “do not drive on tracks” and “you must not drive on the tracks” where one of these answers was right and the other wrong. If the developers fix these mishaps then this app would have felt more polished when taking tests.Show lesstiredbed
I GOT MY PERMIT!
Now usually I don’t write reviews because there’s nothing to say but man when I tell you this app saved my life, this app did save my life. I had taken the written test for the first time and I used apps like Quizlet and other apps and when I felt confident I went to take it but there was a problem, none of the question that I studied for where there and I failed(I was mad). I told my friend that I failed and he told me about this app “DMV Genie” he told me it’s a great app that has all the questions that are given in the test. I purchased it, studied for 1 week and before you know it BOOM I had finally passed my written exam all thanks to this app and my friend for recommending this app. If your looking for app to study the California written exam then this is the app for you, Trust me. Misleading in app purchases
My daughter is studying for her learner's permit and wanted an app that would help her pass the test. I downloaded the app and purchased a premium package for 30 days. When she attempted to us the app, it states that she would need to purchase the app. When I contacted the developer they informed me that if could be used with the same Apple ID however she would have to purchase it for her device if she wanted to use it. My daughter is under my family sharing plan and has access to all apps purchased. Under the description it states: "family sharing Some in-app purchases and subscriptions may be shareable with your family group when Family Sharing is enabled." This statement makes it seem like in-app purchases are shareable under family sharing. The company told me I would need to purchase the app again for my daughter. The description is very misleading. This app is all ready expensive and I refuse to purchase it a second time. There are other apps out there that are less expensive that offer the same services. Based on this deception alone, I would not recommend this app to anyone.Show lessbla de da
