Description of Giraffe Cards

Giraffe Cards is a distraction free Math Flashcard app that will help your kids learn addition, subtraction, multiplication and division the same way my kids learned. I created Giraffe Cards for my own kids and their friends. We wanted a simple but flexible way for them to learn math facts without distractions. This app is distraction free with no ads, purchases or other interruptions. The Flash Cards are simple and clean, providing great practice and easy customization from beginning to advanced math facts, including Algebra "Magic Number" cards. We called it "Giraffe Cards" at my daughter's suggestion since her class mascot is a Giraffe. Kids from ages 5-12 can play with built-in Flash Card Decks, or create their own decks specific to their classroom assignments. My kids used them to learn their math facts. I hope your kids enjoy them too!

Reviews of Giraffe Cards

  • Just one change!

I hope the makers of this game read reviews! I’m a math aid at an elementary school and I use this to help my students get their multiplication facts down really good! My only complaint is that you can only do 10 cards at a time and that you have to start over with how many digits you want to include..every single time you play! I’d like the option to do up to 30+ and have your settings stay the same! That way, if I’m timing them on their 6’s, 7’s and 8’s, they could get 10 from each group for their practice!

    Developer Response

Hi - Thanks for the feedback! You should be able to use more than 10 cards at a time if you select more Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, or Division sets. For example, if you select all of the 1's, 2's, 3's for multiplication, that will produce 30 cards (10 from each set of 1’s, 2’s, 3’s, etc).
  • The numbers don’t show up when inputting answers

When typing the answers, they aren’t visible. Please fix. I’d also love the ability to manually take out certain math problems.

    Developer Response

Hi - There appears to be a bug in some versions of iOS. I believe that it is fixed now. Please let me know if you still see it! Pat
  • Changes

We used this app a ton all year and now after Christmas break it is different. We used it for my 2nd grader. She used it with 10 cards and it plus before Christmas break and each week they did a number so like 1 they did everything 1+ 1 and so on. Now they are working on subtraction but I can’t seem to get 10 cards to do a timed test with just doing subtracting by a certain number like 1. Please help as this app worked well for my daughter.

    Developer Response

Hi - Thanks for the feedback. I believe I have a way to make this work. I'll try to get it into a future release =).
