14ers In The 21st Century
So far, I really love the app. For now, it's useful for this armchair summiteer. My 20+ 14ers were done >30 years ago!
I can't believe our family, including Dad's 53 summits before age 50, relied almost solely on Ormes* (ugh!) and Denver Post weather forecasts.
I thought something about this adventure was lost in era of devices and hi-tech gear. Now, I think I rushed to judgement.
And, it's FREE!

Fantastic; Critical in my planning
I LOVE THIS APP; here's how:
1. I use it to research, comparing mountain choices. There are 3 numbers to which I pay close attention: class rating, total elevation gain, total hike length. Oh, and very important... is the access road 2wd or 4wd? I want no surprises in the dark, pre-dawn drive.
2. This app directs me to weather forecasts; I start checking the peaks I'm considering at 5 days out.
3. Once I've selected a mountain and trail choice, this app gives huge help with directions to the trailhead!
