  • DOES NOT WORK WITH THE NEW UPDATE

I should be able to get my money back
  • Well worth buying

When I first got this app (free version), the sound didn't work. However the look and feel of the app was so nice I left it on my device hopeing an update would come along and fix it. To my delight, I opened the app today and the sound was working. I immediately updated to the full version. I know this app is meant for kids but as as an adult beginner learner of cantonese this app is brilliant. Thanks!

  • Great flash cards

Cute pictures and sounds. Can show 2 language options. Lots of different cards in each category and many categories for the paid version. My boy likes it and I think it is good value for money.
  • Not spoken Cantonese

Many of the words are just the Mandarin words or written Chinese translated into Cantonese, but aren't actually what a Cantonese person would actually say. You would get a lot of confused looks if you used some of these words in Guangdong or Hong Kong.
  • It's ok.

This app is ok. But, the voice is not great. I try Yu Sun Dickson Kwok app before. There voice is better. Also, when it comes to ice-cream is Cantonese. They just translate from Mandarin. But, if you are Cantonese. You will not say this word from this app. Also, the flash cards plays too many words for one subject. Should just have a choice to choose 10 words to learn at once instead of 40 words to play at once. It's way too much to starts for kids or adult. And, this app should design some basic to starts. I notice this app throw too many words in like in the vegetable area. Most of the words, you don't get to use as a beginner anyways. This app would target everyday comment words to begin. I just keep this for now to see if there is any improvement in the future. Thank you! :-)

  • Can only hear the Cantonese portion.

App is great! Only I can't get the Mandarin voice to come on. If that can be fixed, I would give it another star.
  • Lies

Summary reads that it comes with 400 items.. Only has 40ish
Nothing notes lite version or anything.. iTunes does not list this app having any in app purchases

After installing you have to purchase to get the rest
Only after clicking "more.." in the description info in itunes the last line has a note that this version only comes as a demo

False misleading description and there is no listing in iTunes that this app even has in app purchasing (against iTunes policy selling outside of app store!)

There are no quizzes to test learning.. Very basic and boring
