If it only worked

This app has so much potential...if only it worked. I have an Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard which clearly is working (installed new batteries and when I click on the remove ads icon I am able to enter my PW with the keyboard). However, this app (which is intended to work with a wireless keyboard) acts as if my keyboard doesn't exist during the actual tutorial. Only the onscreen keyboard will respond. Pretty much useless without the ability to use the wireless keyboard and I would have given it a "one star" except that if they can fix this bug the app has potential so I gave it an extra star for that.

My 8 year old is learning with it

Although not clearly explained, you have to add a field and type something in before it will let you enter the app. You add a field, then touch the grey field, type a word, then press enter. (Perhaps a name?) Then you can press the button to get in. Once in, it explains what is going to happen, and shows a graphic of a keyboard and hands. The fingers light up to show you which ones to use, and the corresponding keys light up on the screen as well, to show the child what to do. It starts by having them practice the home keys. "f" and "j" for example, will fall down the screen, and are supposed to be typed for practice. The speed of the falling letters can be adjusted to take the pressure off the child too. We haven't gotten through all of the sets yet, but it seems like it will be helpful in teaching my son to type. You can tell that the English is off, but it's easy enough to figure out what the character-helper is trying to say.

not made for New iPad with Retina

using New iPad with Retina, all the app does on start was SHRUNK the starting UI to some TINY DINKY buttons. Can not even begin to figure out HOW and What to do. Least implement a Wizard Starting Guide.

AND Yes, make it Applicable with New iPad.

This App, last update was July 2012....

Fingers

I don't have that much little fingers

Crashes

Starts up ok but when you get to the typing part it crashes. Very frustrating.

B U G G I N G

Deleted! Star, what star.....

NOT WORTH THE TIME

CRASHES EVERY TIME AND MAKES IPAD TURN OFF

Some improvements =more stars

The constant add banner is a distraction to learning to type. 4.99 for an external keyboard capability? Maybe at 1.99! The app is otherwise nicely laid out, but the true utility Is in an external keyboard. Any upcoming sale on the external keyboard?

Could have been a cute app, Crashes so much you cant really open it up

I opened the app and all it would do was play the opening scene and then it saying loading (to pull up the lessons or game or whatever it is) and then the application closes...

I tried to open this app several times... had to delete it

Keyboard should be included.

This "free" doesn't allow you to use your wireless keyboard without paying for a keyboard app as well.
