  • Control stick problems

When I swipe up on the game it goes down. It has good graphics tough. The game's good and all but will you fix the control stick? I am not playing a game with control stick problems
  • Fresh gameplay!

    CUTE! Kotomons are cute stuff!

The gameplay feels fresh and the music/art style work well together. And it's also fun to play as a bonus! :)
  • Is this a game?

Not sure what I am supposed to do or how to get to the next level
  • Ok

It's ok especially now that its free but it is in no way worth 3.99...
  • Simple and cute!

This game won't blow you away but it is super cute and easy to play. Personally, I enjoy the graphics but it's the addict ing sounds of the game that keep me playing.
Very low level of difficulty. This game is mostly for the sounds.
  • Terrible

When buying this game for $4.00, I expected something fun. Instead I got terrible graphics, frustrating controls and nearly impossible levels. I am deleting this game. Thanks for stealing my four bucks
  • Disappointing

I was a huge fan of Rez, Lumines and Child of Eden. I had high hopes for this game but it falls short of expectations. The music integration it great but the controls are just poorly implemented. Additionally the camera is fixed in one position and makes it impossible to correct any bad shots. The visuals are a little subpar compared to many the games on the iOS platform. Hopefully Monstars can learn the platform better before they release another game or they should just stick to console games.

  • Potential, But Dissapointing

Shoddy controls and poor camera angles makes this game more frustrating than fun. Interesting concept, but it fails to deliver. I want a game to test my skill, not my patience with poor control and camera design. Your monsters tend to block shots towards enemies as well - better player-assistance AI is needed for your 'teammates'. It pains me to say it, but save your money and purchase something else. I wish I did.

  • Extremely disappointing

The goals are ill-defined, the loss condition a secret until it accidentally happens to you, the art bland and muddy, and the sounds annoying from the outset. The developers, while possibly capable of better, missed to even recognize the mark with this one.
  • Fun and original gameplay, needs an update to get above 3 stars

I enjoyed this Kotomon, but it could have been so much more..
When I heard that the creators of Rez made this I was extremely optimistic, but after playing it, I wasn't blown away. It seems unfinished– visually there is intention but it is decidedly unpolished. The controls are not suited for touch-screen gameplay in their current state, this needs to be rethought or maybe just fine-tuned. The camera is a mess, considering that projectiles are being regularly fired in the player's direction, there should be some way of seeing them coming from further away, but the camera is static. Something like a player 'look' would be relatively easy to program and implement.
I have no background knowledge about this game, but it feels like a project that was given heavy limitations on time and resources, and suffered for it. I really hope they will spend a bit more time and update it, so Kotomon can live up to its underlying potential.
