Description of 5 Daily Puzzles

Solve Sudoku, Str8ts, Killer Sudoku, Jigsaw Sudoku and Kakuro on your iPad with these daily puzzles from Andrew Stuart and Jeff Widderich. These puzzles will suit beginners to experts because within each puzzle are four grades - making a total of twenty puzzles available. Every day you can request a new set of each puzzle (use the "New" button on each player) or you can keep working on the current puzzles. Progress is always saved for each puzzle. Leave or quit the app at any time and come back to an unfinished puzzle. There is a full undo/redo and you can check your progress if you are stuck. We're very proud of these puzzles - they come from the same stock we regularly send for print in newspapers around the world so we know pretty quickly if we're not producing the best puzzles. We have been making classic puzzles since 2005 and Str8ts since 2008 and hundreds of solvers have helped us hone the logical strategies we use to make them. Because we use logic to make and grade them we are very confident of the grade spectrum they have been placed on and we can also say that the different between the easiest and the hardest should be very noticeable. So whether you are a novice or a pro there is a puzzle to match your skill. We absolutely guarantee a single solution and theoretically you should never need to guess. Because of the strategy logic we use, even the hardest puzzles have a logical pathway to the end, although it might be obscure to say the least. If you want to check the puzzles or are stuck, we have Sudoku solvers at www.sudokuwiki.org and a Str8ts solver at www.str8ts.com. In fact you can find a wealth of information about us, the puzzles and tips and strategies at these two websites.

Reviews of 5 Daily Puzzles

  • Not much better than using paper

I’ve done both regular sudoku and jigsaw sudoku puzzles. With jigsaw sudoku puzzles especially no option to show all the candidates really makes solving the puzzle tedious. The only real advantage I see to using this app over doing the puzzles on paper is the check function.
  • This app is a steal!

This isn’t the fanciest Sudoku app I have, but it is, without a doubt, the best! These are fun puzzles, and there are no annoying ads. Highly recommend. Some day I’ll try the other games too.

A couple of suggestions - 1. Be able to send your current state of the puzzle to Andrew’s Sudoku solver. That could make this a great learning tool. 2. Make it so I quit accidentally changing my final entries to pencil marks when I switch to notes (but am still at a permanent entry). I am getting better at catching myself.

    Thanks for a great game!
  • Great for Sudoku lovers

If you like Sudoku and want more of a challenge or a different twist, this app is great. Five apps, four levels, new puzzles every day. I recommend it.
