I enjoy following the seasons so this app was really appealing. I would love to give it five stars because it is elegantly designed and very attractive. Sadly, for me, there are two real failings: first is the way seasons are defined, with meteorological seasons being 1st March to 31st May for spring, 1st June to 31st August, summer etc. The second method is astronomical seasons, where spring lasts from the March equinox to June solstice, this year 20th March to 20th June. The app only shows the astronomical seasons, whereas I would prefer the meteorological dates, or at least the facility to choose between them.
My other disappointment - actually irritation - is the use of the word ‘fall’ instead of ‘autumn’. In the USA both words are used, although I accept that ‘fall’ might be more prevalent. However, here in the UK we never use ‘fall’, to us it’s always ‘autumn’. I would happily accept ‘fall/autumn’ or ‘autumn/fall’ but just ‘fall’ feels wrong to me. Probably age! If these could be corrected, five stars it would be!
