I love these filters (still)!
Update 2020 (iOS 13):
... My primary issue is that I wish it wasn’t such a memory hog. I just deleted and reinstalled it because it took up 2 gigabytes on my iPad and I’ve used it probably twice since I downloaded it again. This is an app that I use rarely, and just for some mindless photo editing fun, but it has been around in my photo editing folder since the very beginning.
It would be great if this app was still updated but it’s solid enough that I can still use it, all these years later.
Don’t expect to be able to do any editing or adjusting, however. This app is filters only, one strength, one option - but it does the filters very well.
If it’s still under 5$ to purchase, I’d say it’s worth the paid version.

I'm adding three stars (I'm torn between this being a three or four star app), since the iOS issue seems to be fixed. I still wish this app offered some kind of fine tuning or adjusting of filters and strength, more so than most apps even, dimly because these filters are do awesome! I normally wouldn't give four stars to a plain slap-a-filter-over-it kind of app, but these textures really do stand out... So, there you have it!

I love these filters. They are arguably some of the best offered... I'm so disappointed that this app was not updated for the new iOS 6, (my iPhone 4gs, new iPhone 5, and iPad, they ALL immediately crash when I try to open this app)!

Some of the filters are nice , but still needs work
Update: I came back to check on this version of the app, still way too costly to pay for the additional filters, and the resolution is still terrible. In the dumper it goes, again! Really too bad, because I like the interface and the quality of the filters is good. But not $5 good.
Update: latest update fixes the in-app purchase bug, but it costs $.99 for each additional filter (of the 18 optional ones) or a whopping $12.99 for the entire set! Seems a bit steep to me. Maybe I'll just be happy with the free ones until they go on sale. I can't image too many users paying that price when there are so many other less expensive (and frankly better) options in the app store.
I actually like some of the tone effects. Overall the selection is a bit weak, but remember the app is free. Some of the other in-app purchase effects look cool, but there does not seem to be away to buy them?
Resolution of the saved image is mediocre at 1.8 mp (1632x1084) and really should be improved.
The interface is nice and clean and the app seems pretty stable. It would be nice to be able to add multiple effects, and perhaps have some control over the effects, e.g., intensity slider, etc.Show lessTechno-nut
