Another Hamaguchi Homerun!
This app is so versatile that it should be required in every therapy practice in school. Children can work on learning to make complete and meaningful sentences, inferring meaning from body language and facial expression, articulation, learning how to see the different perspectives being expressed in the story, ability to discern the correct syntax and to practice and hear their progress throughout the story. The clues given and the questions that are provided to draw more out of the story and the child's ability to describe the story are tools that are particularly useful for parents who aren't formally trained in speech therapy, occupational therapy or aren't certified teachers. I found this app to be very useful, bright graphics kept my son's interest and the recording ability is essential for him to hear how he sounds to all around him. Standing ovation for this app!

I have been searching all over for an app like this one. I love how my son can write his own story. This is a great app for people who have trouble with their own voice and story telling. It's a great language app, getting them to talk about what they see and tell their own version of what happened. It really gets into a different part of the brain and is exactly what I have been looking for in an app.

great app
This a great app for telling what was seen in an animation that is presented. The user has the option of recording or writing his response. Various skills can be worked on such as sentence structure etc. The writing option is great for spelling, sentence structure etc. I wish that there were more than 8 animations presented. This particular app has the ability to use it with 30 different users and save the responses. Keep up the job of creating great apps.

It's Story Telling Time!
Hamaguchi ROCKS when it comes to developing awesome apps! The Surprise storytelling app engages students in the various areas of receptive and expressive language as well as Fluency and Articulation skills. Challenge words are also added on each scene to encourage the student to use vocabulary in their story. The sound effects add a special touch. In the future you may consider adding more time to the recording feature. It is a fun app for up to 30 users which is an added touch.It is fun being the STORYTELLER!

This app has it all. There is a short video to guide the story for each of the chapters along with challenge words to use. When narrating there are two options - record or write.

What a great way to allow a child to express themselves, use their imagination, and be creative. My daughter just loves this app and changes her story each time.

Having previously tried the free lite version and loving It, I am blown away with is App! I absolutely love any type of technology or game that allows a child to record and hear their own voice and this App does even more than that! Your child can record their own version of the story and get to have it read back to them whenever they want! I love the user friendly features of this App! I especially like the writing section in which your child can write words to the story in addition to his voice! There are also hints and target words that encourage logical thinking! Overall, wonderful App and definitely recommended!

Great Language App
This app is wonderful for practicing storytelling and writing skills at any age! It would also work well as a speech therapy tool. I love how you can use the speech to text option iPad2 or iPad3 to allow the user to fill in the written part of the story without having to type. The pro version is perfect for teachers or therapists because it holds narrations for up to thirty users. Well done, Hamaguchi!

Hamaguchi.......did it again!!
This is another great Hamaguchi app. First I have to say it is FUN! Which means my 6 year old will learn and practice with it! It does all that it claims and works on many different aspects of speech therapy and specific struggles for those on the autism spectrum. I like that it is not a free for all and stays on specific stories. ( We have a more expensive app that is story telling and records but we soon came to find out he could not stay on track and we ended up taking it off his iPad). This app offers so much more and gives a nice framework to use (the chapters). Of course my son likes "what's that smell" and thinks it is hilarious. He is having a blast while we work on getting him to read a situation by looking at the characters expressions and gestures. We can go back and make it a different story which makes him think! I can't say enough good things about this one and hope that updates in the future will offer more chapters!
