Should be 5 stars, but...
Don't get me wrong, this is a great little timewaster, which I used to play on the web, but the constant nagging after every level to leave a review is so annoying, here I am writing this.
Another reason for the loss of a star is the in-game advert at the bottom of the screen. I'm generally very tolerant of adverts in free apps, especially if they're well placed and don't impinge on the game-play. Unfortunately, the advert in Gold Digger is across a reasonably large portion of the actual game area, making it difficult to see items (nuggets, diamonds, etc.) underneath.
There is also no mute facility within the game, meaning you have to use the iPhone's volume buttons if you want no sound. Even if you flick the switch on the side to silent mode, the game ignores it completely.
A pause button within a game is pretty much standard, but Gold Digger apparently doesn't do standard, so there isn't one. And, lastly, giving descriptions of the shop items before you actually buy them would be very useful for complete novices.
In summary, a great game, but far too many shortcuts taken with the execution.

Classic game, but needs improvement..
A few features need improving such as sound control, you cannot switch the game into silent, the graphics could be much better too, and also when buying things from the shop to help you, it does not tell you what they do unless you buy them first

GOLD DIGGER!
The computer game was fun, i used to play it all the time, but then i moved to highskool and forgot about it. I was just looking for random apps and say it and was like 'Omg! Theres the app!' i downloaded it, and play it every spare chance i get! Everyone should get this app coz everyone can do it! Its so much fun!

Amazing game to play well set out I like the new characters as apposed to the old ones

Fun but ......
Great game. Addictive and annoying at the same time. when you don't pass the level you have to start again from level 1 and you can't see the items at the bottom because the ads.

This is the most addictive game in the App store. I used to play this all the time when I was younger. The only suggestion I have is having a different form of advertising. Having the ad during the game is a bit annoying because it blocks of some of the screen.

Sorry but I wanna be critical when I do reviews from now.
The random items you get to buy, pulls up the score a bit but generally speaking, the game is too repetitive. Graphics can be improved, time should be spent to add your own creation to the game, not copying the one on the other online flash games.
I deleted it within an hour, that's how long I can like the game for.

Fun
This is a game that brings back memories of grade school. It's a fun time filler and you really get into it the further you get. The levels do change from game to game so it's not always the same thing. Watch buying things from the merchant. I think it ends up setting you up to fail making it to the further levels. Enjoy!

This fantastic game is loads of fun I love catching rats and Diamonds and big chunks of gold it's fantastic with friends to see how much money you can get I would suggest this game to older people and kids even little kids would like this game it's not to hard either so yeah it's a great one for newbies to iPod iPhone iPad ext so I would suggest you try it now!
