  • Used to love this app

This app used to be my go to when I was trying to learn. I haven’t used it in a long time, just tried to use it now and the little animation on start up just keeps replaying.
This app hasn’t been updated in 4 years. So there probably no chance of it being fixed.
  • Great for Russian language learning

As it says in the title
  • It doesn’t work at all. I see only e-flash

  • Awesome

Great learning tool for Russian. I'm 28 and picking up the basics, wonderful! Thank you
  • Wonderful

The ease of use is great, I have always wanted to learn to speak Russian and this is great for the basics. I recommend it to all, including older people who have trouble concentrating (like me)
  • russian

i've been using this app for 5 minutes and i already am rating it 5 stars... it's that good of an app
  • The app is good

Its what i expected when i downloaded the app
  • Mistakes/discrepancies

Fix the mistakes (words and pictures don't match), because it will confuse the child instead of teaching the right thing.
  • Not too bad

Mistakes are upsetting. They should have natives checking the product. The grouping of words does not make sense sometimes. Overall if fixed, this app is nice.
  • Minor errors, but a great app overall

I found this app while looking for a way to learn Russian for a university course I'm in. It is very handy and useful, and although it is geared for children, it's great for beginners of any age.

That said, I have noticed a few small errors, like how the alphabet only has 32 letters (there are 33 in Cyrilic); the letter X ("ha") is missing. It took me a full semester to notice, however.

The sound for pajamas (?) is missing, so if it is silent, it's that one. The word for "Ladybug" (Bozh'ya Korovka) is represented by a Dragonfly (Strekoza). Some of the images have sounds associated with them (which are annoying, and can't be turned off), and some do not. Animals, for example have animal noises in most cases, which makes it harder to focus on language. Several pictures of trucks which represent very different kinds of trucks don't really stand out in your mind.

I have also used the E Flash Apps version of this app for German, and appears much more polished. Overall, it is a fun and useful app to play with/study when you have five minutes to kill. I have recommended it to my classmates, and would gladly pay for an upgraded or debugged version that had more categories and the ability to turn off sound effects.
