Amazing relaxing device !
I used the old Mind Gear for 12 years (the old version of iLightz; that looked like the size of 2 cd's players and we had to plug-in the music externally from an other device such as a CD Player).
I really love the new iLightz for the IPAD because it is easier to use anywhere and I can play the music from my IPAD along with the programs or just use their own soundscapes (nature sounds) or also some motivational narrative meditative tracks from my library.
The new wireless headset (blue tooth) is great so now there are less wires to worry about. The new improved glasses are amazing; less fragile and more comfortable as well.
I use the iLightz to relax, get over some cravings and anxiety but also when I feel good in order to meditate and get back on track with my spiritual journey.
The old Ming Gear helped me learned to meditate, so now I can meditate even without the device.
I use the iLightz to help me think about nothing and empty my mind from worries.
Also in the winter, the lights help me get over the winter blues.

I've been using this app for 5 weeks now and it has quickly become my favorite app. I've enjoyed listening to various programs during my 30 minute train ride to work. It leaves me calm, refreshed and energized. The glasses would make a good birthday present. (hint, hint)thebuzzerman
This app is awesome!
I bought one of Mind Gear's/Ilight'z first metal machines in the 90,s. I loved that one but decided to try this updated version when I got my IPad. I love this even more. The variety of programs is great. I am an insomniac and the sleep programs knock me right out. There are programs to ramp you up and slow you down, even programs for concentration and ADD. The addition of sound affects such as rain and nature sounds is really nice although you don't need to use them. You can also add your own music. The separate volume controls for sound affects and the program sound is nice. You can even control the light intensity. The Bluetooth headphones that come with the dongle package are first rate with nice sound, well padded and even fold up.. They stay connected nicely when walking away from your device. The optional glasses that produce up to 500 something combinations produce colors I can't even describe and the patterns are amazing. Although I was hesitant to forgo my machine for an app, I must say the app takes a good thing and makes it even better. The interface is much more user friendly than the machine as each program is named according to its purpose, The controls are big and easy to read. If you want to upgrade your sound machine experience, you won't be disappointed. If you are trying for the first time, this app in combo with the optional dongle kit with glasses and headphones is ideal. Great job guys!Show lessUnclebif Savannah
