Description of Study

Noise can make it very hard to concentrate, and for many students at school and college there is no quiet place to work in their home. This simple, free app delivers 45 minutes of scientifically designed productivity-boosting sound that can mask ambient noise, help focus, improve cognition and reduce fatigue. It is intended to be played through headphones at modest volume – just loud enough to mask the background sound, particularly any conversation. After 45 minutes a quick break from working is always a good idea – hence the length of the soundscape. It can be set to repeat if you prefer. This app is made by leading sound consultants The Sound Agency, with personal creative direction by their chairman Julian Treasure, whose five TED talks on sound have been seen by over 50 million people. The app is free thanks to sponsorship from Ecophon, one of the world’s leading acoustics specialists.

  • Focus easily for work or study

This amazing and *FREE* app provides a great way to focus when the outside world is determined not to let you.

Had this for a couple of years after a recommendation in an audiobook - thought it time I left a review

As an auti I can’t work either in silence or with unpredictable sounds (like open office chatter, doors banging and a hundred phone chimes an hour) this is one of the tools which allow me to get in to flow.

Calming and neutral - yet positive at the same time

If you just want a calm space on the train, bus, dorm, bathroom or wherever this is great - you can listen on and off its kind of seamless

No monthly or annual payments and designed by people who really know what they are doing rather than by those out to make a quick buck.

Artistic, autistic, coder, card reader, author, philosopher, commuter or cater - I really recommend you make a little time for this calm any time - even a minute or two get my heart rate and anxiety levels down

    Many thanks

  • 4 Years of Helping me Study and now work

I downloaded this app on a whim during my Freshman year of college. I used it every time I studied until my graduation. Using it consistently, I noticed it puts me into a "concentration" zone, like when I hear it I know it's study time and I can block everything else out. Thank you for making this. It has significantly improved my concentration while studying. Now years later I redownloaded the app and have found it useful for using during work.

  • Please create more soundscape

Used this several years ago for med school exams and now using it to revise for professional exams. It really works and I am still hoping the developer will come up with more pieces of soundscape.
