  • Best music publication

Secrets of Gypsy Jazz is for anyone serious about great music. The format is an ideal blending of great writing, video, and charts.
Robin is a truly creative host and makes a great publisher.
  • Great content, wonky app

Robin is amazing, but once you open an "issue" you can't close it to select another. At least on my ipad2.
  • Gypsy magic

This magazine is vital to all gypsy jazz players , robin invites you to learn some of gypsy jazz's best kept secrets , also there are indepth interviews with gypsy jazz players from all over the world giving you a chance to learn from the greats .
My advice to any guitar player this is the best way to get in to a world that will benefit any style of player .

  • Love the App

This app really shows the potential for instructional media on the IPad. Robin Nolan is a great musician with a lot of experience in teaching this style in a way that's easy to understand. He also has some excellent guest instructors. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves gypsy jazz/Django music.

  • Django would do it!

This app is a fun way to discover new techniques and musical artists. I could easily get glued to it - and come out for the better.
  • Great app, ezine

Really informative stuff inside. I like the musical scores that accompany the lessons. Very easy to follow.
  • Doesn't work

Downloaded the free previews to test. One gave nothing but a splash page asking for me to subscribe. Others gave nothing but a blank white screen. Very disappointing as I am very interested. Won't subscribe if the free issues won't show what's offered!
  • Gypsy Jazz Guitar Secrets Magazine

Whilst not new to guitar I am new to the Gypsy Jazz style. This magazine is a mix of interview and video teaching, with accompanying tablature. It's certainly cheaper than a lesson a week and you can re-watch the video at anytime (try ringing a guitar tutor at midnight on a Sunday!).

So far I can recommend this magazine with Robin's laid back teaching style and guest instructors.

  • Online Guitar Tuition

I would like to congratulate Robin on his efforts to spreading the word and tuition in gypsy jazz. I came across his music in 2000 jamming in the Leidseplein Amsterdam and have been hooked since. Being a guitar player already (camp fire stuff) I wanted to have a go myself but there was minimal books available when i mailed Robin he advised me on a series of books with the changes and basic melody. Yes these were very user friendly instant results learning aids with all the popular changes and styles of rhythm . Then the online tuition platform became available which has most definitely turned me into a solo jazz guitarist. Keep it up Robin

  • Great resource

Fabulous app for the Gipsy Jazz fan and especially good for the aspiring guitarist. The magazine makes great use of the iPad format by blending text and video clips. Robin clearly has great contacts in the Gipsy Jazz scene as he is able to get interviews and clips from all the contemporary greats.
