Don't walk Camino without this App
This app literally saved my life when I walk Camino Frances in 2015. I was clueless about who to expect as it was a spur of the moment decision but having been told about this app a couple of days before I set out was a God send. The elevation maps where fantastic and allowed me to plan rest time before tackling the steep ascents. Places to fill up your water, distance between towns for food. An interface to book accommodation when I needed it. Most of all not having read the guide books, this have me extremely good history of the area and the key sites along the journey. Brilliant. I also have the Camino Primitivo app which I walked in 2016, honestly without it I would have been totally lost. But the online maps again saved my life and allowed me to pinpoint the exact location where I was to give specific directions to my transfer that has to pick me up.
Brilliant apps, I give it 4star as more listings of hotels/motels than Alburgues could improve it.

Camino Lady
I found this app very helpful. The reviews on the albergues were great and helped me pick places to stay. Elevations were helpful. Maps (because I was not online) did not help me but were helpful to others.
Solid app, worked well
Tried several Camino apps, many had multiple charges for each stage of route or each feature. We ended up using just the apps from Wise Pilgrim, functional and straightforward, even if they didn't have all bells and whistles you might imagine. Had all info we needed for the two routes we were on (Camino Aragones and Camino Frances). The lodging info was generally accurate, including phone numbers. The map with the active blue dot locator was invaluable, especially on the Aragones, which is less marked on the ground. One note is that as of July 2016 much of the route marked on the ground between Villamayor de Monjardin and Los Arcos is somewhat different- closer to the highway than the route marked in the app. Eventually they join together again and it's pretty easy to sort out what is going on with the blue dot locator and the map in the app.

Response from developer
Thank you for the kind words. I wanted to let you know and other readers know that the route discrepancy that you mention has been fixed, along with several other changes to the route. Ultreya!
Caminante
An indispensable app for the seasoned or novice traveller
Could be a bit better
Would like to see a landscape display on iPad. When you link to a web page it looks better in landscape mode so you wind up rotating the iPad all the time.
Indespensible Guide
Everyone else carried a guide book but with this iOS app, no books were necessary and I was grateful to have updated content during my Camino. The "Comments" were indispensable and helped my better ascertain which albergues would be a good fit. Also it was a benefit to read other people's reviews of their stay and of their journey. I am continually recommending this guide to other pilgrims. Thanks for creating such a professional product!

Lost my paper guide, delighted with this replacement
I lost (left) my guide book on the train to Pamplona and downloaded this as a replacement. Not disappointed in the slightest.
Disappointed
I am still in my house with good wifi connections and I still can not open the links . I was hoping to get something decent for the price that I paid . So disappointed !
Great replacement for a heavy guidebook
I used this app almost every day I navigate my way along the Camino. I say "almost" as the map function needed to be loaded while you are on the net and if it crashed (which it did a little too often) it won't reload until you connect again.
Apart from that it's a great resource to plan out each day, where to stay, make sure you're on track and read a little about the towns and landmarks you pass by.

Can't recommend enough
Great for planning our day - shows all the amenities in every village at a glance and the distance between each village. Detailed info on the albergues - location, beds, prices, wifi, washing, outside area etc. The app really came into its own in Santiago where the gps map lead us straight to the albergue we had chosen - no walking around with 10kgs looking out for places!
