  • Wait... This was by Mircosoft?!

Well, then again, the game's about a tentacle monster trying to escape a Dolfin Headed mad scientist. So it gets away on the weirdness scale. So, now that Mircosoft is making iOS games, how about some Halo and Rare games? Well, one can only dream... The breakdown.

Audio/Visual: 5/5 the game looks nice, if not disgusting (in a good way) soud is fitting, but run of the mill.

Controls: Very unique, and work well

Content: ?/5 At this point, I have no way of telling how long it is. Will update later

Gameplay: 4/5 fun, but despite the creative gameplay and story, the levels are pretty bland

    Overall 5/5

  • Interesting concept but has issues

Gameplay is mostly fun with bouts of aggravation. The auto-scrolling needs work as often I'd find myself advancing too quickly and unable to grab anything on the screen except where I was already anchored.

The game has major pacing issues. A few easy levels go by and you'll encounter a level that has a very high learning curve and difficulty compared to previous levels. The level design needs to ramp up better instead of the staircase method of difficulty it currently has. Repeating the same difficulty over and over leads to quick, 5 minute levels that don't entertain much. Following that with a level that can take 20 minutes of intense concentration leads to frustrating gameplay.

  • Awesome

Rare is it that I come across truly unique games on the app store so I didn't expect this to be much, but it's like nothing I've never seen before. Great job an making something new and not just re-hashing other game's gameplay. This game deserves number one (screw bad piggies)
  • Great game, but the controls need a little tweaking...

It needs to be tighter and more precise on the controls, especially when traveling along a single wall of the tube. It is far to loose and inaccurate, sometimes seriously detracting from the gameplay.

The pausing feature REALLY needs to be more precise. It sometimes takes 3 or 4 attempts to bring up the pause/restart screen. This is incredibly annoying when trying to quickly restart a level while attempting the challenges. They really need to fix that!

I have LOVED learning to play this game, it is a lot of fun! I wouldn't bother writing this if I didn't like the game. I simply think it needs some improvements.

    5 STARS WITH TIGHTER CONTROLS...?

  • Fantastic action-puzzler

Tentacles is super-fun! A great concept executed with high production values (smooth animation, good interface, groovy music).

The best thing about it is that the control is really snappy. It's easy to get a feel for the movement.

My only reservation is that it's a bit of a one-trick pony. They add new hazards to the later levels, but I don't believe the lil tentacled dude ever gets any new abilities.

  • Worth every penny.

It's gorgeous, witty, backed by great sound design and has some of the most innovative and original gameplay mechanics I've experienced in a long time. Love that the adopted the angry birds 3-metrics per level system to provide replayability. Game developers take note! This is an exemplary mobile gaming experience. Easy to pick up. Get addicted. And put down until next time. Worth every penny.

  • Four Arms

This is a bizarre game & I've enjoyed learning it. Pros: great movement, graphics, & some sound effects add to the interest & excitement. Navigating with the arms is unique and interesting. I can't wait to see if this little guy evolves. Cons: sound effects on interface buttons, location of exit burton from options area & if it is going to score you on speed, a countdown would be nice. The whole background story is weird but I love that we're moving through the body. It helps the story play, and educational I guess, but not real.

  • Could use some polish

It's a fun game once inside the body. i love the tentacle mechanics and eating the eyeballs are fun. But the cut scenes could use some additional rendering. They're are way to rough for how the rest of the game is presented. And sorry, (i know some people with love it) but "prof. phluff" (dolphin head?) just adds an extra level to quirkiness that's just not necessary on top of the strange protagonist already there. I know he has a back story, but the scenes go through so fast you can't even absorb them.

Change the "back story" but keep the rest.

  • Fun & That One Guy Didn't Beat it in One Day:-)

I will say you may be able to beat it in one day if you do not work or have a wife or girlfriend! Just kidding guy that beat it in one day! It is a really fun game, great graphics, appropriate music, and challenging. You cannot beat a game of his calibre for $.99. That's cheaper than a candy bar! Great game:-)

  • Fun but needs work

I just completed the whole game and it was fun but it needs work. The screen should stay centered on the Tentacle. Often times I couldn't see where to go next because the screen was not centered. The arms often shoot off screen despite tapping a wall. And there were not enough times for the Tentacle to regain health. Fix these and it will be better.
