Great game. Heaps to do. Social aspect is so easy to get a network of people helping each other without the need of facebook. Advertising is not overdone. High quality graphics. Down sides: you must social heaps to maintain a high rating. That is all. Enjoy
Fun, but extremely expensive, and terrible tech support.
This app is so full of bugs, it's difficult to play. Industrial buildings don't produce new contracts when the previous ones are finished, screen freezes up every time you try to buy gems or try to sell something. Cost of expansion in real money is so high as to be prohibitive to young people. Tech support is a joke. Player "forums"are difficult to read and to access. This is just another game where greed is the obvious motivation for its existence.

Just Wow!
I can't put it words. This is just so good in so many ways I was surprised when my town turned night time with the smooth music. And when I looked up my eyes saw how calm this game can be I am impressed on so many levels u guys did such a good job this game is just Wow. I hope u make more Great games like this so peaceful and calm I would never,ever,ever lose interest with this game this game is so calm and I only got today too see its peaceful ~ness I hope no one stops likeing this game and creator don't listen to them if they do this is a fantastic game and I hope u make more :).............

Suggested improvement
I love this game, it's great for passing the time, (as long as you have internet) however, it's somewhat tedious to click on each building individually to collect the coins, particularly when your city is constantly getting bigger. So I suggest that in an update, a button along the lines of 'collect all' would be brilliant as it'll eradicate the laborious task. Other than that, it's fab.

Fun
This game is fun and actually a little harder than some other city games to stay afloat with but to me it lets me come up with strategy instead of having it work out well no matter what. The biggest issue is ever since I downloaded it unlike with the other games by them like fashion story and dragon story this one acts like it will connect to Facebook but it won't and I have a brand new iPad not even a week old and others do work so I know it is this app anyways though it's just a minor glitch I hope they take care of the game is fun and I would suggest it. I like how the app changes from day to night

Game limits your play consistently
It's entertaining, but it limits everything you do and requires you to pay. Want to build faster? Pay. Want to expand quicker? Pay. More land? Pay pay pay while consistently shoving their other games down your throat. Forces you to get friends "approval "before moving forward as well. It's parallel to a cheap, greasy, slimy car salesman. Will not download apps from this developer anymore. As a suggestion they should have just charged $1.99 for the app instead of trying to mooch money off it's users. This pushy behavior gives storm8 a bad name. Never again.

Greats
I think city story metro is a wonderfully thought game and every one should play it .you can purchase gems and coins from the shop when your short. The houses pay tax and you buy industry buildings for goods.
A few flaws, but also totally awesome
So this app has a couple flaws, like that it's an online game only, and that the (real money) price for gems are ridiculous, but other than that, it's the best city building game EVER. What other city-building games actually get dark and light up at night? Or let's you create rivers and lakes? No other! Get this game, it's awesome. Don't listen to the other reviews, because really, when's the last time you bought an app that's completely flawless?

Miss the old city story
As much as City Story Metro has improved from the classic game, I feel that it took away a lot of the good qualities of the classic as well. While I have no issues with energy, I do have issues with missions. As in, there are not a lot of them. They keep me occupied with something else. If in the original game, my priority was to recreate my favorite city, what are my priorities here? There aren't any snow tiles, and a lot of major buildings require in-store currency, which I can only get from missions. It's a good socially-interactive game, but only a shadow of what it used to be.

Would be great but it's too slow!!!
It's so annoying that you run out of energy after 5 minutes. And can't do ANYTHING except wait 3 minutes and collect from 1 building. This is really rubbish. Also the bonuses from community and neighbours are pointless. I play Restaurant Story and Bakery Story. Thought I'd love this. I would if they got rid of the energy. Gutted I bothered buying I app purchases. What a waste. I want to delete :-(
