DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY FOR THIS APP
8/24
And now the game is frozen on the iPad as well. Basically I threw my money away by upgrading this app. Disappointed big time.
2/24: The developers have continuously failed a paying customer like me who was such a big fan of this game. Thought a major os update may come with an app fix but once again I was wrong. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve been unable to use a software that I paid $10 for. It’s too bad but the people begging this great game don’t seem too concerned about fixing anything or helping their customers. Shame on them. 11/23 Update: I’m unable to use this app, period. No amount of uninstall and reinstall works. It freezes immediately. And I’m a paid customer too! I’ve written to the developer and have gotten no response! That’s why I must downgrade y rating to zero stars. This is the one and only favorite game that I play on my iPhone. But ever since upgrading my phone the app has become worthless. For one thing, the tutor no longer works, so you’re not going to learn anything regardless of any mistake. And the other annoying thing is that you can’t see the dice that you roll on your turn! I’ve tried reinstall as well as installing on other phones and got the same results. What the heck is going on with the development of this thing? I’m amongst the customers who is using the paid version. Though currently I can’t exactly use this thing. Let’s get to work people! Waiting here. Tick tick…Show lessRandom rolls? I think not.
I played 20 games in a row letting the computer “roll” the dice. I lost 17 of the games. I played 20 more games using a pair of dice and entering the numbers for both me and the computer, and I won 13 of those games.
It’s really obvious too. In the computer rolled games when I would leave only 1 spot open the computer would roll the number needed and usually the second die would knock one of my pips out. Like if it needed a 5-3 it rolled it 7 out of 10 times. If I had 3 spots to land a pip on, it might take me 3 or 4 rolls to get 1 of 3 numbers.
When rolling “real” dice, the rolls were “random”. I know, how ShOcKiNg!!!! If I had a 50% chance of rolling a number I needed, it came up close to 50%. If the computer needed a specific roll, the percentages of getting that roll (1/18) were accurate, not 70%.
If I play the game against the computer and let the computer roll, my entertainment is predicting what the computer will roll based on the board. I’ve become pretty good at predicting situations and guessing the rolls. I guess correctly around 75-80% of the time. If I could really predict rolls like this game does, I’d make a fortune in Vegas playing craps.Show lessDoubling causes tutorial to end!
I have only been playing for a few days and playing the tutorial, and it drives me absolutely nuts that whenever the double is used, the game ends. Makes no sense whatsoever, why not let us play to the end of the game?
So I never double and it’s always telling me I make a blunder because I don’t double but I don’t want to end the game, I want to play it out and see whether my double was a good idea or not. I can’t believe that they would do that, as I said it drives me nuts!Show less
