Doesn't help as much as it tests

Bought this app after hearing it promoted on a podcast. Tried it out and unless I'm missing something it doesn't exactly help you remember things. You have to actively work on remembering whatever it is you want to remember and Mind Vault helps you test your memory if said passage. The app doesn't seem to give you any tips or have any system in place to make remembering something easier.

Again, maybe I'm missing something.

I don't know how to rate this app so I went in the middle with 3 stars.

Just what I needed to help me memorize.

I've tried several apps to help with memorization, but this app works better than anything else. It is great and is just what I was looking for. The only recommendation I would make is that they update the keyboard (for iOS 7) and possibly add folders where I could group cards in the vault. But other than that, this app is great. Now go memorize stuff!

Wonderful App

This is a very useful app. Clearly designed towards its function, intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and well thought-out. It seems that the developer welcomes feedback and new feature suggestions, and so I will provide a few:
-The "vault locking" visual is a welcome reward for mastering a passage, however the addition of a unique sound would increase this effect.
-While this is a much more complex addition, I feel that the implementation of audio recording and playback functions would increase the effectiveness of the app as a memory tool, not only for the addition of another stimuli (echoic memory supposedly lasts longer than visual), but also for the function of speech rehearsal, which this app is already well suited for.
These are my few suggestions, and as I have already said this is a very good app which I use regularly. I hold back from five stars due to potential which had not been achieved yet, although I am sure it will be. Great job.

Great features (love the slider)

In my opinion, this is hands-down the best memorization app in the app store (and believe me, I have tried most of them). The slider is a great feature for memorizing at your own pace, the search functionality is fast and accurate, the graphic that appears when you "vault" a passage makes you feel victorious, and the overall aesthetics of the app are very pleasing. I have also found the developer to be friendly and responsive to feature improvement requests. Absolutely worth the price of admission!

Works only adequately

The app crashes semi-frequently on my ipad3 when touching the slider bar, and performance was sluggish when loading the script for a long presentation (with cut and paste, there is no option to import a file). It worked best to break the script into four smaller sections.

Small, functional, perfect!

This is a great little app. Does exactly what you want it to (help you memorise passages of text), and the creator responded really quickly to suggestions. It would be even better if font size could be changed (I think this is coming soon) but this is definitely a better app than any others I tried for the purpose of memorising.

elegant app

Very easy to figure out without any help. Works like a charm. You still have to do the work to memorize the passage but you can drill yourself by taking a little text away at a time via the sliding bar. I am using it to help my sixth grade daughter in school and her teacher is impressed with it as well!
