Nice emulator
Its a cute speak and spell emulator. The buttons are almost too small to see on the iphone. Might be better on ipad. Sounds like the original. Would like the button text to be a bit larger.Msc1234567890
Classic
This is the classic speak n spell in all its' unintelligible glory. I appreciate them keeping the same sounds, but the original voice is a little rough for a default. It wasn't until after I played for a while, gave up and wrote a review and read some more that I found a way to change the voice into a more modern one. Awful App
Voice is perfect, but it cannot "say" anything you want it to. It just asks you to type words it tells you to type. Hard to type on small letters. Should never have been allowed to be put on App Store. Rip off. I want my money back!!!!!!!D1ETZ

Waste of an app and 1.99. I was bored after 30 seconds. I dont really remember the old one but i basically just wanted to type and have it read words but it doesnt. Has different "game modes" but really boring.--Dashes--

Worst app ever
Believe the reviews about it being hard to understand. I thought it said spell pull so I put poll and it was incorrect so I put pole and it said no the correct spelling is t o o l. But even worst is the buttons on the screen are so small you can barely push them to spell the words, they are a third of the size of the buttons on my iPhone keypad. You almost always hit the wrong letter but most of the time when I hit the buttons it says nothing at all. This is a complete scam. I want to know how to get money back.Show lessMeme76543
Works best on iPad
The keyboard is WAY too small on the iPhone. It is very hard to type.

Just like the original speak and spell but the sound quality is very poor. Hard to hear which word you must spell. Besides that, good app4kingLj
Lots of fun (ipad not iPhone)
This is definitely a game for the ipad only due to the size of the keys. I tried it on my iPhone and it is too small for this game.
I was a child of the 80s and 30 years ago I got my Speak and Spell at the age of 7. Several years later I got a Speak and Math.
Speak and Spell made me the most popular child in the class for years on the last day of term when we could take ONE toy to school for the day. Electronic toys were pretty rate then.
I think it was so much fun and certainly looked and sounded appealing.
Back to the App. Buy it!!!! Especially if you are a Thirty-something like me who wants to relive some childhood! It's the best retro game App on here and it has the same voice exactly, also there is a 'Siri' type voice that is clearer as an alternative.
I still have my original Speak and Spell in the attic. It still works. Nothing is as much fun as the real thing but this is a close match!Show lesshappy with latte
