Favorites bug
My favorites don’t load on my phone and won’t sync to my laptop. The only thing that syncs is the max notes and on laptop that’s fine I could double tap and open well not on mobile you from what I have tried the only thing that works is copying the link from max notes and paste them in the browser the user interface is terrible and frustrating for that reason. I’ve been a loyal user since 2016 but I think it’s time to transfer files and move on 🤦🏽♂️

Want my profile to save bookmarks?
Maxthon 5 worked fine. It was a small, no-fuss browser that’s just works. Until version 6, where they removed the capability to store and re-use bookmarks. Now when you bookmark, you are storing the web-content, and to browse to the bookmarked URL, you will have to become a “member”. This completely defeated the purpose of using this supposedly minimum/anonymous browser. Please, there are many other browsers that do not demand my personal info just to store a local bookmark. Bye.

Working great, until it wasnt
I’ve always used Maxthon as a way to download videos onto my iphone. The last few times I’ve attempted to do that, it wouldn’t work at all. I dont know if this is a bug or what but it is very inconvenient.

I am unable to open or click any video after downloading. I cant perform any action on downloaded song or video. Please resolve it as soon as possible

Do not use this browser if you value your privacy, after reading through their privacy policy, they take all the information they can get. They DO NOT delete your information. This is unacceptable, especially when everything you do on this browser can be seen by them. It’s also quite annoying that I had to disable my VPN to even view the privacy policy. All I was looking for was a browser that can run HTML 5, not a potential dox.

Never Known Such Stupidity
Never in all my years of using all kinds of browsers have I ever come across one that needs a Phd in stupidity. Something as simple as adding a bookmark is not showing on an iPad. Where? How? If Firefox can do it in one click what is wrong with Maxthon that makes is impossible? Truly awful.

So far so good. This appears to allow bookmarks and incognito browsing. Would be 5 star if it allowed user to set an on-line/ off-line home page.
