Wildly inaccurate
Good design, but the times are way off. Also shuts off any music you have playing when you start, which is annoying because who likes cooking in silence?
New version a real disappointment
We loved the first version of this app, the simplicity, the humour. The new version is so disappointing. Why not offer both methods of boiling an egg and let users decide what works best for them? Really hit and miss with this boil for a minute and take off the heat malarkey.

Followed instructions to the letter left with disgustingly underdone eggs which has thrown off all my breakfast timings leaving everything else to go cold

The phone app works a treat. Nice!
Watch app...rubbish. The timings on the watch aren't even the same on the watch version. How stupid!
Would be good to have hand off between the two devices too! So you could set the timer on the iPhone then walk away then your wrist alerts you it is time!!

I love this app, I use it regularly and wouldn't choose any other app developer. 5* so easy to use and perfect results every time. Highly recommended!
I can't boil an egg without it. Perfect!
I love to cook but boiled eggs are my nemesis! No, seriously. They were always too hard or too soft. Even the kids can cook one perfectly now!
Not accurate
I set the timer to hard boiled firm. When the timer rang and I cracked my eggs it was runny inside. Disappointed

Great for people like me who love soft hard boiled eggs (difficult!) and this does them eggsactly right!
Start in cold water and start timer from when boiling starts. The only negative is that the ringer stops too quickly so have to take phone with me around the house.
Put an ice pack in a bowl of water ready to plunge eggs into as this should prevent any grey ring around the yolks.
Don't hang about or they carry on cooking.

Enable Notifications on iPhone
Sadly the review feature doesn't allow me to upload the photo of burned eggs.
I know it's a stupid basic thing, but the first time you use the app, be sure to go onto the phone - not just the Watch - and enable notifications.

Turned off on Watch
Set timer on Apple Watch. (Luckily looked at the time too). App closed on Watch. Expected it to still be running in background & counting down, but it wasn't. It was back to the start of the app.
Set it again as a test & it turned off again.
Tried it this morning. App runs in background but closes so you can't see the timer (just main Watch face). When you go back in to app, it has continued countdown, but no alert. Just says 'Ding!' No sound. (Yes volume is on, on both Watch & phone). Will delete & reinstall, but so far, useless.
