Excellent recording app
This app is excellent. I tried a few dozen recording apps and finally chose this one. I use it primarily to record my concert band rehearsals. I am able to record a 90 minute rehearsal and then edit the file to separate each song. I can then practice, each song individually at home. I use the bookmark feature extensively so that I can practice certain parts of a song repeatedly. I also use the playback speed feature. This allows me to slow the songs down to help me learn them at a slower tempo. The app is very powerful. I am still learning how to use some of the advanced features to my advantage. I use the app about 3 to 4 hours each week.
Finally, I also used this app to record my conversations with my brother during his final weeks. Very important to me. I was able to easily upload and archive those files to the cloud and other devices.
If you are looking for a recording app for voice and music, I highly recommend this app based on my experiences.

Suddenly stopped working. Unable to open app
I’ve been using this to record ideas & memorabilia for a long time with no issues. It’s a brilliant recorder. Recently it suddenly stopped working & I'm not sure why. I have many ideas on the app that I’m unable to access as the app fails to open when I try to access the app. This has never happened before. Can anyone assist as to what may have possibly happened as I am reluctant to delete the app & reinstalling as I will lose hundreds of ideas that the app contains. Thanks for any help

Unbelievable and for free.
Best recorder I’ve ever used for a mobile device. Has either a simple or advanced interface to allow either fast and easy recording on the fly or in-depth options from format WAV/MP3/AAC to silence detection and more with the advanced recording engine. After that there is nearly every conceivable method of transferring or uploading files to anywhere, every cloud service, FTP, WiFi server, WebDav, USB transfer with iTunes, and more. None of it is complicated. For example the WiFi server is started with the push of a button and you can access your recordings on any computer/mobile web browser by entering the provided URL. You can then transfer—upload or download—and even delete them off your phone if desired.
There’s a small ad at the bottom which is the only aspect of the free version, otherwise it’s fully functional. I love it so much I might pay to rid of the little ad, but mostly just support the development and say thanks by purchasing.
If there is any possible feature missing you should probably go buy an expensive external recorder that would also include all the features this little app has. As far as mobile device recording features and quality, this has pretty much all you could ask for.

Used for radio stations
I do weather and traffic updates directly into my phone using this app.. I just turned the quality up as high as I can (probably overkill) and record and it uploads direct to the radio stations FTP server and goes on air
Irish music fan
I’ve been using Voice Record for a few years now and it really helps me to learn new Irish tunes with the slow down feature.
I have also used it record stories for my grand daughter during Covid isolation. The editing tools were great for matching audio to pictures from the books with iMovie.

Excellent app
As a broadcast journalist I have used many “pro” apps/software but VRP is outstanding. One niggle! When recording on iPhone with built in mic you obviously have to turn the phone upside down to use the phone as a microphone. It’s a pity that VRP has no invert screen/upside down toggle switch such as is available on some other audio recording apps. As a MOJO this would be really useful in monitoring levels etc without the need to turn my head upside down!! Wonder if this is on any future update version?

Simple and User Friendly …but…
This is a simple and user friendly tool that does exactly what a lot of subscription based voice recorders do for a monthly fee! Records with easy ability to change titles, file names, extensions, categories and organization. Even does in-app transcription!
That said, I’d like to talk to the devs for a moment: I love everything you’ve done. There’s just one thing missing that I’d love added in a future update. Please add the ability to choose which Google Drive folder it uploads to. Right now it only uploads to the top level and I’d rather not have to take the extra step of having to open Google and manually reorganize the file location.

Best recording app ever!
I’ve used this app for about two years now. It records both sides of conversation perfectly, wether it be a phone call or a conversation in public. The clarity is incredible. When I call a business that I am having issues with, the first thing I tell the receptionist is that I am going to record the call. I have only been hung up on a few times after stating that, one has to state if you are going to use the conversation in a legal conflict. Once you are past that point in conversation the burden is on the company for every word they state. More often than not, that simple statement they are being recorded, often leads to a simple resolve of issues. I love this APP, it takes the cockiness out of the people who answer customers complaints.

Nearly perfect
I’ve had this app on an iPhone since it was first launched and used it for recording vacation reports and travel logs. It was great. But. Outside of slow cloud based exports my only other option was to convert files to mp4 and put in camera roll. Then export this to pc and convert back to mp3. For this reason I stopped using the app and found a new one with better direct export functionality. I’ve now found a workaround using a usb insert that files can export too. So I am back and happy using the app. I really like the online effect options but I don’t like that these can’t be set before the recording has started and also b they are not remembered from one recording to an other. This is a weird setup. I would like to use the limiter on all recordings but have to go through the setup procedure for it once I am recording live. Like I said it is nearly perfect and those updates would make this app 5 star.

I’m doing a lot more recording and this export nonsense is so backwards. Uploading files anywhere is painfully slow, especially the larger ones. Why oh why can we not batch export to any of the plug-In memory sticks that are common now, rather than have to do it one file at a time. On nearly any other recoding app I can export multiple files together. It is for this, and only this reason that I can no longer support using this app, which is a shame because it’s so good in every other way.

Pretty dang good App
This is a good app for being free. It’s nice to see some app developers are not "money hungry and greedy" and create apps like this that work well.
