10 "Free" Dowloads ???
I'd like to say to the developers of this app that it's not free if I have to give you my personal details and credit card number to download the content. I was really looking forward to using this app along with the midi controller I purchased to learn some guitar songs but it looks like I've just wasted my money.
Free would be "Here's a dowload link, go and download your songs"
I can't fully review the app as I can't download the so called free songs so here's what I'll say, it seems to function and connect to the controller.

Works ok but there are issues
I use this app with the Ion Guitar Apprentice hardware i.e. a guitar with lighted fret buttons.
I have downloaded some songs o.k. but a couple will not download even though the money has been taken for them.Let It Be and Brown Eyed Girl. Also, with the guitar I was given a voucher for 10 songs in a pack ,which are not available .

Lefty function does not work
The lefty button does not work. I wanted to enjoy this product, but if the lefty button doesn't work, I have wasted my money. The lefty button is "grayed" out.
Beautiful and Almost Like Real Guitar
First things first, the lefty issue is true. The guitar remains on this setting for some strange reason and it can't really be fixed. I do want to let people know that a counter solution to this is to flip the iPad in the opposite direction of the lefty orientation and then lock the screen using an iPad or INTERNAL iPod touch setting. Presto' it works. Fun toy and as a gutair player it is close to real with minior technology errors.

How to fix the lefty mode + Review
I at first doubted the product and insisted on sending it back because of the reviews and my wifi, but after playing with the settings and no device with my phone. Doing this I thought of how the phone is positioned when it is plugged in to the device.
How To Fix It.
1. Open the app
2. Position the phone right
3. Righty: E string is up
4. Then portrait lock screen
5. That's it, enjoy
So after finding this out I decided to keep it and have some fun at my desk. So read this review and I would full on recommend this if you want something to mess with. If you want to learn guitar, just buy a real guitar.

All Star Guitar IPhone App
Inside the All Star Guitar Iphone application the guitar strings are upside down. The IPhone does not coincide with the guitar controller, the strings are upside down on the phone.
Great idea, bad application
I bought it for play bass guitar on live sessions with all star adapter but string respons on ipad 3 make it useless, too much latency and bad string respons especialy when playing 8th tones on faster tempo.
Bad News Stay away no sopport
ION site no longer has the files and this app does not work with the guitar unless you buy the update - but ion don't have the update or teh guitar on their web site I wasted money and not happy.
Does not work!
No sound. Totally non- intuitive for kids. Returning!
useless
unable to get songs, always get error message 'Download failed'... no answer from company, lost my money.... Didn't work with IPhone, IPad and Ipod Touch.
