Referral scheme for live streams is a joke
One of the best features of the app is watching matches. I don’t have Facebook and don’t see why I should sign up to it just to watch matches especially with the WC going on! This will definitely reduce the number of app users long term.Ekwur

Hi Ekwur, Thanks for being with FootyLight. Facebook log in is required only for watching LIVE streaming of World Cup matches. Other than LIVE STREAMING, all contents (highlights, news, livescore, podcast etc) are free as before. We can assure you, your privacy is complete safe with Footylight as Facebook login protocol is completely controlled via Facebook itself, not us. Via FB login we just get your Public Profile Name and/or Email ID (only if its public), no other information are requested/needed. While you are selecting Facebook Login you can see what information you are sharing and you can decline if you want. For Live TV access and Footylight Referral Program this is essential due to two reasons - a) Footylight provides Live TV access via Third Party Affiliated Program (NTV/ Set TV/ Fubo etc) who demands some sort of user token for proper authentication. It helps both Footlylight and content provider from unusual "Hacking" of these super expensive streams. We can easily implement non FB email based logging but fake profile issues are severe! b) Additionally it helps tracking of stream demands as access tokens are countable. Saves bandwidth leakage and serves smooth streaming. As you can understand we are providing these contents absolutely free, proper usage tracking is essential and we don't have any better way yet other than Facebook Authentication. Used to be better
The app is good does but you need it to do with live scores, news, alerts etc. But it used to be better by being able to watch alit more games now it’s limited to one or two games.Vain1989

Love the concept. Love the idea. However, the videos take years to load and it lags while watching the video highlight which is very frustratingMr.sprint
