Love candy crush been playing it for years but the closing of the ads, having to click on the X multiple times which just opens another window or takes you to the App Store is very frustrating.

Many years ago this game was one of the best.
However upon returning to this game within the past few months I have come to the conclusion that it is no longer the quality it used to be.
I’ll start with the improvements, which would have been more enjoyable, IF the other problems weren’t present (to be discussed in due course).
Firstly, the addition of the supercharge colour bomb is great, it allows for more fun. Secondly, you can now watch ads for extra lives. This has also been great, allowing for that extra chance so you don’t lose your winning streak.
Now focusing on the issues. The game crashes while your playing a game, causing you to lose your winning streak. While it was tolerable the first few times, it has gotten annoying because it is consistent. You lose your races, resulting in you losing gold. Furthermore, the game disconnects you from the App Store and wont connect unless you give up a life, again resulting in you losing your winning streak. WiFi is of top quality and I have no problems whatsoever with any other devices or apps.
Overall, the game is alright, some good additions, and it’s fun when you get to play for few games without the game crashing, but it gets frustrating when you keep on losing your streak because of a potential bug. I’d love to be able to play without having to worry, but until they fix this issue, will be offloading the app.

Take the time to read this
First off for the people wanting to see how this game is please read this. I’m a 13 year old kid that has great patience I’m an Introvert so I stay I side most of the time and I would like to say the game is good it’s a great game cuz speaking for myself I LOVE puzzle games but I hate the fact that I have to wait 20 minutes for 1 heart to come back, and not to mention I’m not the one loosing it says “ No more possible matches” like bro what💀 what’s the point of even playing if I’m having that problem then when I do lose I spend 30 gold bars 30 to only get 5 moves and then when I do do that it’s not enough for me to pass the Level then they wanna say 15 more lives and a booster that will actually help me beat the game but I’m not spending more bars or I don’t have enough to do that. So my sake and others don’t make the timer 20 minutes just to get 1 life and make it possible to have enough switches so it doesn’t make me waste a life and when I’m letting kids play the game they always quit the game which makes me waste my last life please remove that cuz I do not find that fair. Edit: and also in my opinion I think we shouldn’t even have lives, I think you should just let people play until they finish the objective. So please take the to fix these changes and I bet you will have more people playing. Edit 2: I just realized I said 20 minutes I meant 30 minutes

Pay to lose
Let’s start with me loving candy crush. I’m on level 1,933 I play almost every day. But, there’s so many things that are frustrating for users that want to continue to play the game. First, WHY CAN I ONLY USE 20 LIVES A DAY?!! please I just wanna know. I’m so miserable watching that long timer for a single life that’s gonna be used up in 2 minutes maybe less. Plus they’re lives that friends sent so they should be mine without limitation. Second, why do I never get the option to watch videos to earn boosts or lives? I literally get so sad because I’m watching my bf watch his videos to continue playing. Maybe it’s my fault for ever paying into the game. It hurts to rate this low on a game I enjoy but the fun is taken away with every little update they do. Way too many restrictions on users and almost forces them to buy boosters even though you still won’t win 😐
Update: currently level 2394 and unless you have the patience to continue failing till they seem like you’ve had enough don’t download the game. why does it take like 30 minutes per life like this is causing more stress. I’m not about to pay to win every time bc what’s the point? I understand challenging levels but like who’s gonna take out 94 jellies with 10 moves. It’s so unrealistic and not even fun to play anymore. My rate still stands and I don’t think it will change unless they make the game enjoyable again.

Pay to pass
If you have extreme patients and don’t mind spending weeks playing the same level hoping they’ll finally let you pass this time, then this game is for you! If you like to actually progress through games in a responsible time line, I would not recommend! The game starts off easy enough. But eventually you start getting hit with levels that are next to impossible to beat without boosters. The first few are on the house and they’ll give them to you for free. But as the levels progress even harder, you’ll find yourself needing more boosters because “I was able to beat that one level with them!” But the catch is you done used your few free ones. If you want to get boosters now you have to PAY! And price is crazy high. $8 to buy 50 gold bars that’ll buy you just 1, and if you pick boosters that are cheaper, you can get 2 for $8! But the cheaper ones don’t work well enough to beat the game level and then you end up spending more to buy more to pass a level. I paid to beat 4 levels, and noticed a pattern and quickly deleted the game. So if you want to pay to pass, this is your game! If you wanna try and tough it out and spend weeks playing the same level, this is your game! But if you want to actually progress through a game without having to pay $8-$15 to beat a level, I do not recommend.

Level 8059 is a cash grab-You can’t have my money
Updating every time I am stuck on a level for more than a week. This game is increasingly becoming less fun and more annoying with all of the levels that are on fire and all of the stupid side quests that are essentially just supposed to motivate me to spend my real money to pass a level that is set up for me to fail so that I become desperate and so irritated that I spend money to pass it. It’s disgusting in this day and age that a game on a phone that is supposed to be fun and relaxing is essentially just bombarding me constantly to spend money to get a little bit of dopamine from passing a level. I might as well just delete it. It’s obviously not doing anything other than wasting my time.
Why do I have to clear away 3 or more attempts at my money (“buy this booster pack to win” “don’t you want a little help winning?”) Before getting to play a level. There is no way to opt out of the stupid bubblegum troll things. I am not motivated to give you my money by having a character “steal” boosters I didn’t even have yet. I have played this game for so long and it has just increasingly become so obviously a cash grab that it’s making me feel like I should probably just delete it. I’m happy there’s no ads for other stupid games because those are even more intolerable, but it’s disappointing that this particular game has gone downhill in the last like two years.

Frustrating - Needs Changes
I played this game for awhile. It’s fun BUT….it seems to be $$ driven now. Trapping you into spending money to pass levels even after you have used a combination of boosters. If you use a ufo or a confetti booster it should clear the level but it doesn’t and there are too many difficult or super hard levels that are impossible to pass unless you spend money to buy gold bars or boosters. This game has fallen out of favor for me. I used to play every day , now every now and again because I feel like the goal is to get you to spend money consistently. My Recommended Improvements/Changes: 1) reduce the number of hard/extremely difficult levels within a race. You SHOULD NOT encounter 3,4 or 5 hard levels in one race. 2) Increase the # of plays from 5 to 10 when you first use gold bars on a level. It makes no sense that you get 5 the first time and 10 afterwards. It should be the same. 3) Change the confetti booster to clear the game if it is used. It makes no sense that I used a ufo, confetti, color bomb with other boosters and still didn’t clear the level. This must change. You can do better Candy Crush so you don’t alienate your core game players.

STOP WITH THE UPSELL
I used to love this game. Now every 2 seconds it’s trying to make you buy something. It’s impossible to complete half the levels without spending money so isn’t enjoyable at all. I’ve seen other reviews like this and it disappoints me that they’d rather profit over positive experiences. To get the power ups you need for nearly every level you have to wait until the next day so you end up only completing 1 or 2 levels a day and becomes useless. Really disappointing as this use to be my favourite game. Please stop with the constant pop ups. I feel like as soon as you decline an offer it tries to upsell again and again to the point where I am close to deleting the game. I completely understand that as a free app you have to make money but it shouldn’t be at the expense of what makes the game enjoyable. All I can say is LISTEN TO YOUR CONSUMERS.

I have a love hate relationship with Candy Crush Saga
I love candy crush saga, however I do have a love hate relationship with it I mean it doesn’t have ads, and it is free. However there are somethings that I don’t love about it. I don’t like that you get 5 moves for a whole 10 gold that you only get once in a blue moon. I have had candy crush saga for about 4 days now and it is super fun but something to know getting into Candy Crush Saga is they are very stingy on the gold, so once you get some, hang onto it until you absolutely need it. I love that they have the competitions and I look forward to seeing many more in the future, however don’t get your hopes up on winning, millions of people play this game, so your chances of winning are literally 1 in a million. The hearts take FOREVER to reload, it takes 30 minutes for one heart which means for 5 hearts it’s literally 2 and a half hours, but that’s what makes me thankful that they have the option to ask friends for hearts. And this game definitely takes a lot of strategy. But as you can see I gave it an overall 3 stars, it’s super fun but there is definitely room for improvement. But overall I would recommend Candy Crush Saga, however if you don’t have patience this is definitely not the game for you.
