User Reviews: Squeebles Fractions

  • Hard pass

I’m an educator and I am looking for an app to help introduce fractions. This is not the one. It just jumps right into assuming the student knows how to make 1/4 from 8 slices of cake or 1/2 from 4 slices. The user interface is super confusing as well. I feel like this app would frustrate any kid who was already struggling to understand fractions.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear how frustrating you found the app. We're committed to improving where we can so we'll take your comments on board and look to introduce a beginner level that works with just halves and quarters. If you can e-mail us on info@keystagefun.co.uk with any specific feedback about what you found confusing about the user interface that would be really helpful. Thanks. Ian, KeyStageFun.
  • This game is amazing

    Awesome game
  • Changes to "easy setting"

My daughters are just learning the basics of fractions. Would love to see the easy section just have only "simplified fractions". i.e. 1/2, 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 1/3, 2/3, 3/8 etc. otherwise this is a great app I would gladly change my rating to 5 stars if this feature were added.
  • Great For Basic Concepts....

A wonderfully effective method of demonstrating the concept of fractions.
  • So far so good

Tried this app out before my kids, so their's will be the true test. But it seems tricky enough to be challenging, but not too hard either. I did think the instructions on the piece of cake game could be better. It should tell you to tap as many slices as the squeeble needs before attempting to feed the squeeble. I kept placing piece after piece on their plate and being told I was wrong, before I figured out you have to click each slice while still on the serving plate and then feed the whole section to the squeeble.
  • I like it!

I like this app and think kids will find this an enjoyable way to practice fractions. It seems a little youngish, but I'm going to try it with some of my 5 th grade boys at school and see what they think.
