Description of Crop Water

The Crop Water App was developed at the request of Nebraska Agricultural Water Management Network (NAWMN) participants. This app provides an easy way to estimate soil water status based on Watermark sensors installed at depths of 1, 2, and 3 feet. With these sensor readings, the Crop Water app will estimate the water used as well as what is still available for Nebraska soils. You can also see historic sensor readings and graph. Check out the NAWMN at: water.unl.edu/NAWMN.

  • Agronomist

This is the most useful app I have on my phone. The crop water app blows away the soywatee
    Spreadsheet UNL has.
  • Helpful app

Would be helpful to have most common soil series in Nebraska listed by name. For example Keith silt loam or haxtun silt loam instead of silt loam.

Something else that would be nice is to have a common irrigation threshold for soil type and crop.

Would like to be able to delete from history. Occasionally a reading gets added to history twice or one of the numbers was entered wrong. Haven't found a way to delete duplicate or wrong entry.

It is a good app in that it helps when more than one person is scheduling irrigation there is a record to look at and history to compare to.

  • Great job!

This app worked flawlessly last season. Would recommend it to anyone who uses Watermark sensors to aid in irrigation scheduling.
