This is a wonderful game, great concept despite lacking originality but this is by far the best execution of said concept. I'm giving it a 3.8/5 but the stars don't come in halves or quarters so rounding that up to a 4 star. It's a really nifty game, as the title suggests there is a lot of improving to be done, so I'll help you out because I've already paid for a car within 3 minutes of playing, and I don't normally pay-to-play/access features so this is saying something.
PROS:
1) Decent art style, the cubic/pixel thing is still going strong lately, and I'm seeing the influence of Crossy Road in this, not a bad touch.
2) The voice-over girl reminds me of the old arcade game Crazy Taxi and I'm digging that so hard, though please expand because it definitely does get repetitive.
3) Every time you quickly start a new round you see your old smashed up car from the previous round, that's a nice little touch.
CONS:
1) Inability to switch lanes fast enough as speed picks up or even just normally. The lane changing speed is very slow and when going at 'supersonic' speeds it's very hard to avoid lane changers and those other players if the speed of lane changing is literally a snail's pace. I understand it may be for realism, but a car that can go 'supersonic' fast? Yeah, hmmm.
2) The indicators for the other cars is really difficult to see on some colours of the background. It's cool that you have all of the different environment changes and font colours but when they're orange/yellow and the indicators are yellow, it makes for some irritation.
3) The trail of debris from the other fast drivers is slightly annoying since along with slow lane changing it's kind of hard to avoid.
4) If a player plays the game on mute a lot of the obstacles would be very easy to miss since they don't have a long enough warning. But I have been driving 'supersonic' speeds every round so that may just be me. :D
5) After every round it's hard to see whether I have unlocked a new car or not because if I speed through rounds and unlock new cars, when I check the cars I have to scroll through slowly to find the gift boxes instead if it showing them itself.
POTENTIAL:
1) Along with lane changing, it'd be nice if we could maybe with luck or correct timing be able to weave in between two side by side cars, like I swear with the smaller cars it would totally work, so it'd be cool if this is made a possibility.
2) Maybe some kind of pick ups or perks like from Mario Kart? I'm up to Class C, and that's about what? 500 points distance? It's getting progressively harder and harder to get anywhere past 500, and seeing this is a new game I highly doubt any one has a score of S class which is probably like 2000? Unless they're hacking or just... has A LOT of free time hahaha. So it'd be helpful to get pick ups which give maybe 2-3 sec of invincibility or boosts for 50-100 points distance? With this also you'd be able to get more revenue maybe hahaha, get people to pay for upgrades/or unlock on perks.
Anyways, I am a big fan of this already and can't wait to see it grow. So, thank you, until the next update I guess.
