  • Great and simple

Perfect app to what I was looking for my kids.
  • Great app, room to improve.

This app is great. I love using it in the morning to sing the catechism with my 2 yo. One thing I wish it did was play continuously through all the questions. Currently you have to open the app or press play after every question/song to keep it going.
  • Great app to teach theology to kids

Great tool to teach good basic theology to your kids. I use the app with my 4 and 2 year old and the 4 year old has memorized about the first 20 questions. I can see how his knowledge from the questions is already affecting the way he thinks about life. The songs are great too, they help a lot with the memorization of the Q and As and make it fun for the kids. Highly recommended.

  • Music

Love this app and using it with my kids. My 2 year old is crazy about the songs and loves singing along with them. Only thing I would change about this app is that I wish the music would keep playing even once the screen on my phone is off. It's a little inconvenient to have to keep the screen on for it to work. Overall though, this app is great and has been a great resource for our family

  • LOVE

This is such a great app and curriculum. Our family has the book also and our small group at church goes through this one question a week. I wish you could play the song from the adult mode, though. (You currently have to switch between Child mode and Adult mode to access both the full answer and the kid song.) The songs are obviously for kids, but helpful for me as an adult too! It also would be SO COOL if I could play all the songs on loop for my kids. Anyway, awesome app, just a few things that would make it even more useful for my family.

  • Improvements for content description accuracy and missing content I miss

Regarding content accuracy: the app states scripture quotations are from ESV, however they do not match the ESV.

Regarding previous content that is no longer available:
    1. I really miss the suggestions for further reading, and footnotes of sources of commentary information. I purchased J. I. Packer's book as well as Macleod's "A Faith to Live By" and have found them very helpful for further study.
    2. If possible, please reinstate the option for the user to select the version of his choice, and possibly add the NKJV..

  • Suggestion for Crossway

Love the app, and I think is a must have for every Christian parent. The kids songs are super catchy. I would suggest this to make the app much better: when the app is on, prevent the phone from sleeping so that the kiddo songs don't stop playing or allow the songs to keep playing in the background even after the screen sleeps... Also maybe a "repeat" loop to allow it to play over and over. I've found with a 3 year old, repitition is essential!

  • Doesn't work on iPhone4s.

I wanted to love this. I listened to the songs on band camp and discovered the app included the songs. So, I excitedly downloaded it, but I can't get past the welcome screens. I can swipe through three intro screens, but I can tell some of the bottom is cut off. They must be made for longer screens. 😕 There must be some button I have to push that is out of the view of the screen. Too bad. Maybe when my phone dies and I have to update it in a few years I will try again. Maybe by then they will have all the questions to music. :) My boys (ages 4, 2, and 0) REALLY loved the music. Great idea.

  • Amazing app!

Thank you for the amazing update! I love using this as a devotional with my children.

While there is a bug for the iPad, the iPhone version works beautifully. The design is sleek and easy to navigate. Updated songs in children's mode that pertain more closely to the verse, which is nice. (However, I hope some of our favorites from the old version of this app are still in there) it's so nice seeing such quality apps like this and ref net being made for the glory of God!

Please fix the iPad bug. Looks like graphics are over the top of the 'done' button on the intro splash pages so you can't continue.

  • Love the idea, but it crashes entire ipad.

I love the concept of this app. I don't think it matters what catechism you use, so long as it lays out the truth of who God is, who we are, and what Jesus did for us. So much more of course, but this a review, SO... My major problem with it is that you cannot see the entire page unless you turn the iPad to a landscape position. When I do this, the iPad freezes. You cannot close out of the app. You cannot even turn the pad off. This has now happened three times, making me hesitant to open it back up. I just worry I may do damage to the device. Might this be fixed? If so, I'd give it six stars if I could. Please keep working on this. I've made a commitment to the catechism in a year, but sure would be nice to utilize the app with it. God Bless!
