  • Nice app but...

I'm really not a big complainer but I'm getting really sick and tired of in-app purchases after paying an initial cost. Too many developers do this now…otherwise a fun app.
  • Not sure about this

I bought this thinking it was some sort of creation tools to complete a sentence and play it back. Well it sort of did that but I got frustrated with the process which is long drawn out and awkward. Words like Hi, Hello, Bill, William and Shatner are also missing as I thought perhaps you could make up something like an answer phone message. The fact that it cost it me 69p wasn't an issue but I have to say overall, very disappointed with this app. Sorry Bill, you still are a legend by the way. Live long and prosper!

  • LIMITED WORDS, some very common

I saw this app mentioned on tv as the "most downloaded app" on iTunes. So of course I was intrigued and shelled out $1.99, (which went down to .99 the next day)...grr
This app is very limited in words. As I first tried to create my shatoetry, I had to search for the words I wanted, and each time the words were missing. before someone thinks maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, I am a college graduate and was valedictorian so I must be fairly intelligent.
Even Shatner himself said during a segment on tv that he had to limit and be careful with his words selection for some reason.
I was so over this app within 5 minutes for this reason. Unless it's updated with ALOT more words, there's no reason for me to keep it. $1.99 down the drain IMO. Maybe for free it would be worth spending the time and effort to try and create something with this app. But that won't happen, so DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS ONE. Maybe one day there will be a word update and I will update my review. Good luck to those who buy this app and Happy Holidays!

  • Good fun

The man himself says on twitter new words will be added, look forward to it, I agree with other reviewer needs "KHAANNNN!"
  • It's more shatner but not presented well

Basically this is like those magnetic fridge poetry kits. You have a strange and not very large list of words that you string together to make the shatoetry.

I agree with others that the list seems both small and poorly thought out. You cannot create (or mock) most of shatner's famous lines. (No wing or thing for example)

I both hope that we can get a larger word list in an update and hope that Shatner is too busy with better things to spare to the time to record them... Conflicted I guess this app leaves me.

If it were a buck I would be that much happier then the 3 I paid for it.

  • Disappointed Shat-Fan!

Sadly this App was as bad as I thought it was going to be. As a real Shatner Fan I felt this is a cynical half-assed attempt at milking idiots like me. As a 0.9 version this might be acceptable, but for the price it is awful!!
Why? So many basic words from the English language are missing - greetings, common linking words, and so on.
Surely this would have been much better to have a phonetic scripting and pronunciation system in order to generate the words? I mean, did the great Shat sit down for just an afternoon dictating this measly list of words? C'mon Bill, how about a bit of dedication and actually making this a useful App?!!

  • Not quite so good

Great idea great execution but too many every day words missing (good come love etc) and please could we have a couple of rude-ish one as well for the adults.
  • Mediocre

A bit expensive for what it is. I think Sir Patrick Stewart is worth $2.99...
  • Shows promise, but won't let you say Beam me up Scotty

How can a Shatner app not include a wealth of Star Trek related words. Fix this please !!
  • Cool but...

This is awesomely cool but we need more words .... Seriously why is there no "Khhhhhhaaaaannnnnn" and obviously more ...ahem... Dirty words not included. Who doesn't want to hear the Shat declare his love for all manor of filth
