  • yes its there?

You can listen to a demo of the new effects before you buy. You have to download the app first.
  • Works in iOS 8.1

I have an iPad air running iOS 8.1, and the ZOOM MS-100bt.
This app seems to work well.
I have loaded all 20 of the free effects and a couple of the paid ones with no problem.
The app has nice descriptions of the effects, and a good system for demoing them, before purchase.
The app needs a search feature and a list view to speed up finding things.
I gave it one star off because it really should have an patch editor/librarian in it.

Love the sound quality and variety of effects in the pedal!

  • I'm not sure if I'm expecting something that is not there...

I was hoping to be able to hear some of the available effects before investing in the MS-100BT, but non of the effects' demos make any sound in my ipad. Do they only work when the Apple device is connected to an MS-100BT?
If so, Zoom is really missing marketing opportunities here. For one, prospective MS-100BT customers (including me). Also, prospective effect patch customers who should be able to audition (and fall in love with!) new patches while on the bus or waiting at the bank.

If this is how StompShare is supposed to work, let me tell that it is not working. At least, not on my ipad 2 (iOS 6) or ipod 2 (iOS 5).

  • After updating the app all previously bought pathes are gone

I updated the app and afterwards my previously bought patches (eg Big Muff PI, Dirty Filter) disappeared. Nevermind, said I, I like the MS100 even without them. Then I thought, I will just buy them again. The app happily took my money, and said I already have the patches, and asked me nicely if I want to buy them again. Yes, I said, and the app froze. Needless to say, it took my money but I still do not have the patches. GREAT!

  • More patch/preset slots?

So many possibilities with this great little effects pedal, especially now that most of the MS70CDR reverb models have been added. Thanks Zoom, but how about a firmware update to give us a few more patch slots, so that we can make good use of all these extra effects?
  • Effects shop suggestion

Effects shop needs the ability to show which effect has been uploaded to pedal.

Also, an issue when loading multiple effects to pedal back to back with iPad Air. Causing the app sync to time out without loading the effect. Switching from stomp share to a different app then going back into stomp share app allowed for continued loading.

    love it!

  • Not all that

A couple of decent sounds, but the dynamic delay is useless. You cannot store patches with Bluetooth. You can only upload new purchases. Since dynamic (ducking) delay is a big part of what I need, this pedal is all but useless to me.
  • Stay away!

This app is useless. You cannot control the pedal with it. It's just a way for Zoom to make more money. They didn't deliver what they promised with this pedal.
  • A great innovation...

This app works well and offers many useful new amp and pedal emulations for the MultiStomp pedal. The highlight for me is a stunningly great sounding Klon Centaur emulation. A superb feature is that you can try any effect before buying it by way of a temporary trial installation to the pedal.

The pedal hardware needs to be Bluetooth paired via iOS settings before the app is able to transfer purchases to the pedal or facilitate trying before purchase.

The selection of effects added did lean rather towards bass guitar for a time. Now though there seems to be something interesting released every other Friday: recently there has been a very worthwhile overdrive and a great sounding delay, both modelled on established hardware pedals.

There is huge scope for this app and the MS-100 to add to what is already a superb system. It would be good to have emulations of solid-state or high-headroom equipment, to enable speaker emulation without needing to make such effort to avoid overdrive or valve compression. It's frustrating that there are some effects available to other pedals in the Multistomp range which are not yet available via this app.

Above all, it would be wonderful to see more emulations of classic pedals: I'd love to see more classic 1960s Japanese/ British fuzz effects and an Octavia, for instance. I also wonder if the hardware two-in two-out signal path of the MS-100 could be used to offer a mono send-return option for purchase or even simple A/B switching. A facility to download pedal setups would be invaluable.

5 stars is fully deserved for now, though I think it would be a great selling proposition if Zoom could say 'Every effect from across the Multistomp range and many more are all available' rather than add pedals one per fortnight.

Incidentally, the hardware pedal is great - solid, and better in audio quality by far than early Zoom gear - really impressive. It was a little uncanny to compare the TS808 TubeScreamer emulation with my own original 808 - it really brought home how uncannily impressive the unit can be.

  • This units Rocks

Nice to see a company who cares about tone and not just weird effects. I have a Zoom G5 for the studio, but wanted something I could just take with me anywhere and plug into an amp, mixer, whatever. And being able to almost pick whatever 6 effects I want, even if its 6 chorus units, and place them in any order I want is. Mega Plus!

This unit is easy to use and once you set it up you got all your tones in a nice little box. It's like a little Swiss army knife of tone. And if you want to add a few more things they are only priced at $0.99 and $1.99. It's got everything you need and few other rare toys and even some bass effects.

I hope they keep the new optional downloads flowing, including some bass amps, a more detailed parametric EQ, and maybe even a Lab Series L5 amp model. Now THAT would be great!

The only weaknesses are the parametric EQ, which has frequency setting that are too course to really fine tune a unique setting, ack of being able to use Edit And Share to store settings out side the unit, and the amount of processing power available. A bit more so I could use another lush reverb would have been good.

Overall this unit gets a 5/5! It's that good!
