Great magazine
I spent a couple of years in anticipation of buying an iPad so I could read my favourite magazines on it. Of course, I love my iPad for many other reasons too but a prominent joy is Canadian Geographic, and Macleans, along with Outdoor Photographer, The Tablet and the occasional Newsweek magazine.
In my experience Canadian Geographic downloads fairly quickly and I can start reading the first few pages almost instantly. It is also on my iPhone although the small screen does not do justice to the stunning photographs.
It declutters my life not to have the print versions of magazines filling up every space, as I had trouble parting with them. Now I can carry around a multitude in a very compact device.
Keep up the good work!

I should have read the reviews
Very slow to download. 1-Β½ hours and I am still trying to download the first issue. It is stuck now at 65%. It also will not download in the background. That is good though, as I am heading out & don't want it downloading via 3G!
It is a very good paper magazine, but so far, on my iPad, it is abysmal.
Rated OK for now, but that may change.

Scam
I've had a subscription to the hard copy for years and they are telling me I have to pay again so I can get it on my iPad (full price)
They have lost a customer, not renewing my subscription
They need to learn how to keep customers happy

Trial issue seems to work, ok
I was able to read the free trial issue, ok, on my iPod touch 4 th gen.
Don't think I would pay the $6.99 to $12.99 that is wanted for the digital monthly issues, when you can get the printed yearly (6 issues) for the advertised rate of around $24.
Since there is no printing or distribution costs with the digital versions, these should only cost around $1.50.

Doesn't work
Can't access my subscription to read on iPad... Disappointing. Deleting and not renewing my paper subscription. Nat. Geo's app works flawlessly
Doesn't work
The app won't load. I have deleted the app and tried again and received the same thing.Very disappointing. Cannot purchase previous issues. Ridiculous
