  • Short memory

The device and app were very helpful when I needed to test my blood sugar, so when I needed to start tracking my blood pressure, I got the blood pressure monitor that goes with the app. Also helpful. Not having to manually enter the numbers removes some friction in the process, which I definitely appreciate. And I do like that you can manually enter data too, which I do when the doc takes it at the office. Taking away one star because every time I open the app, it stops all audio even though the app isn’t making any noise. This is really annoying since I listen to podcasts and music all the time.

Warning: make sure you sync the Dario app with apple health. Dario only holds your data for three months. Apple health keeps it all, which is great for tracking your health over time.

  • Focused on improving my health

I’m very thankful that I work for a fantastic company that focuses on the health and well being of their employees at American Tire Distributors. I took advantage of the suite of products offered to at Dario. Blood pressure, blood glucose and the scale. It has me very focused and so far my weight has come down 27lbs blood is improved substantially and glucose is now in a healthy range thanks to all the tips the send me daily. All that said Dario has also provided an asset Coach Emily who I speak to weekly. She is fantastic and offers pointers every week and also celebrates my accomplishments. Coach Emily is AWESOME and I’m lucky to have her in my corner!

  • Latest update

Since the latest update the app is harder to work with. When I open it to get a glucose measurement I have to go in and out several times before it will take me to the screen where it ask for a test strip. The app doesn’t work if the phone rings during a measurement the B/P function doesn’t register even though it looks like it is connecting I still have to input it manually. The look of the app Is childish also. I hate this latest update and I am considering looking for another program that is more reliable. The A1C readings are off by a lot. You should be able to put the A1C reading you receive from your lab work so that you are starting at the same place. The app said my A1C was 5.2 but my lab results were 6.4!

  • Would be better if weight synced with Apple Health

I like that the glucose meter is compact and easy to slip into your pocket. The app is okay, but I don’t really use most of the features. I’m only interested in my blood sugar and weight readings. It would be a 5-star rating if weight also synced with Apple Health. I have another scale which does sync, but it requires you to open an app while weighing yourself, whereas the Dario scale is Wi-Fi as syncs automatically with the Dario app. I don’t understand why they have glucose and blood pressure syncing but not weight. It’s definitely an option in Apple Health.

  • Simple & compact

I love love love my Dario BG monitor. It’s so easy to use. It’s so simple and Compact. One unit approximately 1” wide and 3” long that house the testing strips lancet and a miniature glucose monitor. My iPhone can be asleep and when I place the monitor into the charge area of my iPhone it will wake up with Dario asking me to allow it to use my iPhone to which I click ok and then it asks for a testing strip to which I insert and the lancet end you can adjust the depth of the stick. The amount of blood it takes is a tiny and I do mean tiny amount which is awesome.

  • Device is terrible!

The strips work fine, but then so do the strips from other companies. No big deal here. That’s the bare minimum.

Where the whole system fails is that it tries to do way, way, way too much. Updates have ruined my experience every time because they take away an important feature so they may add yet another premium feature (for the low, low price of $240 a year “discounted” from $360, hahahah!) that I will never, ever need or use. 95% of the app reminds me of buying a new computer and finding it stuffed with bloatware. Suggestion: make all these unnecessary complicated doodads an option to be added, and offer a clean, simple app that just keeps track of the data. That’s all anyone needs.

  • Works Fine technically, however too intrusive to get just a reading

with regards to getting a glucose reading result, it works, but there are Ads allover and sugestions and requesting information that gets in the way of its simple purpose of getting a glucose reading

i recently installed it again to see if it had improved and now i have to provide my cell number to get it to work "fully", and only an "emergency" reading can be taken in small leters way beyond the bottom of the page. my original 4-star is now a 3-star app, sorry reading glucose is serious business for diabetics and have no time for distractions

the concept is fine, the hardware is good the final product is not workable for a diabetic when in distress

I hope they manage to work around these issues around the diabetic person and not the other way around force people to an intrusive app

    regards

  • New Dario Glucose tester kit!

My daughter and I love our new Dario Blood glucose tester kit that we share using our IPhones with the adapter to test our glucose in am since Diabetes runs in our family and we’ve both been diagnosed with Pre-diabetes in the blood draws from labs so we’re being cautious now and monitoring our levels in the am before meals! I highly recommend this testing kit to anyone with a history of diabetes in their family, or if you’re diabetic, or Pre-diabetic! Thank you DARIO! 🙏♥️☺️

  • Completely unacceptable!

First of all I haven’t used the app for about a year and back then it wasn’t like that. This app forces you to share all your medical information whether you like it or not! You also have to select that you either have diabetes or hypertension or both! So I guess healthy people can’t use it. It forces you to enter all kinds of medical conditions you may have and there is no skip! Basically there is a skip button but it doesn’t work! If you need and app you could use in order to take casual readings for your family, avoid this one! To make things worse, there is no way to remove this info! I was trying to get a measurement of my wife’s blood sugar and it was asking me a million questions! No skip now to get an urgent measurement! So I entered anything to go though and now I can’t remove it! I have changed to not diagnosed, however the date of diagnosis has to be something. Again, you have to have diabetes to use this app!!!??? That’s insane! I wish I could have my money back!

  • Logbook keeps closing the app

If you are taking a reading, it works, but as soon as you try to add notes or any other distinguishing marks (like fasting, premeal, postmeal, or bedtime), it closes down. When I try to reopen the logbook to make these changes, it closes immediately. They need to get that fixed because that is information my doctor likes to see. I have the latest version of 5.3.4. A new update that fixes this glitch would be nice. I’m tempted to go back to my old meter and the logbook I used on my phone with it until this is fixed.
