Much to Improve on

I've used this app daily, since getting a newer iPad pro. I decided to go paperless and this app helped me ditch the paper agenda. I like writing things down because I'm a visual person. This app is simple and gets the job done, but there is so much that could be improved. I would love to see a weekly format, more color options, more diverse stickers (or just the use of emojis), different pens, more cohesive synching and a text option. I have the app on both my phone and iPad. It would be nice if I could type on it when writing is inconvenient. This is picky, but a grid or lines could be helpful too. Overall, I still rate it 4 stars. It's the best writable planner for iOS. I would recommend it.

Perfect for Apple Pencil

I use my iPad Pro 10.5 and Apple Pencil ALL DAY, EVERYDAY.
For everything.

At work I use it to take my meeting notes, planning and giving presentations, taking messages, creating and editing documents, signing forms, making and receiving calls, texting and emails.

While running errands I use it to track my to-do lists, shopping lists, finding items at local businesses and comparing online prices.

In downtime I use it to listen to music, color, read books, play games, paying bills, as a TV remote, making my calls, FaceTime calls, and texting.

Finding a calendar where I can use my Apple Pencil to write things in is GAME. CHANGING. However, I am confused why I only have a MONTHLY option. Why can I not have a WEEKLY option? I believe when you “create your calendar” you should be given the option to choose monthly or weekly.

I think this would give us SIGNIFICANTLY more room to write stuff in. Some days I don’t have much to write. Some days I cannot get everything onto one little sticky-note-sized space.

I am hopeful this option would become available soon, as until them I won’t be able to put EVERYTHING in this one application.... that means more work for me for now. 😞

Still a favorite

I have had this on my ipads for years- i use it to jot down my work start time and end time. I also take photos of flyers for local events etc- so that I can use a photo of an event on a particular instead of having to write all the details. I would pay extra to allow multiple images on one day, and to add an alarm feature. I keep looking for an app that does this two things, while still doing everything else Palu does, and can’t find it. It would make my day to have this app do everything I need it to do, until then it’s still one of my most used apps, invaluable!

Getting there

I would love this if there was an undo button to undo one step backwards instead of deleting the entire entry. Would also love different pens like a fountain pen option and thicker lines. An option to add different country holidays would be great. Other wise very useful!

Love it, wish it had more

Wish this app had more to offer absolutely love it just wish it was updated, would really take off

Good, would be great with couple of slight changes

I really like this app. I always used to carry a diary with me - as a shift worker I was lost without it. Even with an iPad inputting was a pain so it was quicker to just write in the diary. I love that I can utilise the apple pen to quickly write in the diary. So simple. To the point that I have ditched the diary! A couple of things would make it even better. I find that the width of the writing with the pen is really large. It would be much nicer if you could select a slimmer 'nib' like you can with the notes app. It would also be good if you could increase the amount of space for writing in for each day, as a shift worker with a very busy life it does tend to get full quickly. Also someone else has mentioned it would be nice to get a notification if someone else adds to the calendar. That would be a nice feature. All in all a good app that I would recommend.

Please consider

I love this app. What would make it a 5-star app would be the ability to make one calendar the default calendar so it would come up first upon opening. Also, some stickers that actually represent possible calendars items would be great--for example, a medic sticker for doctor appointments, a dog and cat for vet appointments, grocery cart, etc. But overall, it's a very handy calendar!

Very useful and handy. A go-to app.

Jan 6, 2016. I have been using this now for a long time and it continues to be a mainstay. There are a few other handwriting calendars at the App Store, and I believe that this is the best in terms of ease of use and reliable syncing among devices.

----------------

Several months later (July 9, 2014): I continue to find this app easy to use and extremely useful. Just today I came up with some new uses for it.

-----------------

This little app is surprisingly handy for quickly entering appointments when one is out and about and does not want to take the time to use a keyboard. There are a few other handwriting calendar apps on the market, but I believe that this one is the best because the data is automatically syncable among devices and because the handwriting quality, while not excellent, is good.

Here are some suggested improvements:
1. Improve the handwriting quality.
2. Make it possible for the "eraser" setting to hold after an erasure is made. At present, the setting moves automatically back to pen, and this can be disconcerting when one wishes to continue easing.
3. I know that this is a lot to ask, but would it be possible to incorporate handwriting recognition into the calendar? I ask this because the company producing this app also uses Mazec, which I consider to be the best handwriting recognition engine, in a lot of the other apps that it has developed. It would be great if one could write a calendar entry, convert it into type, and then, if necessary, export the entry into the iOS calendar!

Thanks for a useful app!

I really like the concept, but it's missing a few things...

I love the idea of having a calendar app that you can write in, but it is missing a few things. Line thickness adjustments would be a good thing to add. Actually being able to set alerts for the specific days or reminders. Maybe being able to include different day templates so theres lines or checkboxes.

Other than that, i love the concept, just needs to be more.

Great app

Wanted to use OneNote , using my APPLE stylus, but no calendar is readily available. I kept reviewing other apps, reviews but seems many lack a simple approach. I downloaded this and able to write and sync with my iPad Pro, phone. Just wish it had a sidebar with "Notes" as a TO DO list.( Using the additional "A' and "B' at bottom. ) I have not experienced any hiccups with this app so far. Recommend. I upgraded and was worth it. I like this.
