  • Great, overpriced gameplay

    Just like RR1, this game plays great. Have read the devs responses that “this is his only income”, but 5.99 is just asking too much to unlock what’s provided here. Perhaps dev should consider pricing lower in order to sell more copies instead of turning players away with current cost (especially after RR1 was basically free) if so worried about their income. Like most I’m sure, will keep an eye on this one til price drops

    Hi There. Sorry to hear you feel upset. I wish I had communicated how the game works better; that it's free to download and try, with a single IAP to unlock the full game. I personally (as a solo indie game dev) like that model. Please note, it's no longer $8; I reduced the price a day or so ago. I do feel the game has a lot of replay value, where you can keep playing the same tracks over and over, trying to improve your time and race up the leaderboards. Hope you're reconsider your review, and give the game another chance. Thanks again for your feedback though.

  • Cool game, fun concepts, way to expensive for what is offered

    I really like the demo I played, but there is too little content for 8 dollars. Maybe if there was online multiplayer.

    Hello. Thank you for your feedback. Maybe you didn't notice; I reduced the price a day or so ago. I think the game has a lot of replay value; as people keep coming back to it to improve their times and climb up the leaderboards. Hope you can stick with; even if you're just on the free tier. My priority is to add more premium content; but hope to also bring more value to everyone on the free tier too. Thank you!

    Was really excited for this game to come out. Until I saw it was $7.99 for the full game.

    The game is entailed for whoever starts off in first place to win, especially since if you aren’t in first you cannot get any of the boosts since first place would have taken it all, the only possible way to get into first place is if first place messes up and when its cpu playing that isnt going to happen

  • Lots of fun

    I saw this game in the upcoming games category and it looked awesome. I’ve now played it for a day and I’m top 10 in a couple leaderboards. My only gripe is that this game has an 8$ paywall to remove ads and unlock the full game which is kinda crappy but I understand you gotta make money. Other than that this game is awesome and I recommend getting it.

    Thank you for your review, and I appreciate your comments. I wanted to make Retro Racing 2, free to download and try; with a single IAP to unlock the full game (rather than it just being a premium paid game like my previous one), so people can see if they like the game before buying etc. I accept I should have explained the monetisation model better in the description. I’m aiming to remedy that for the next update; and may also include a popup or something in the game itself, so it’s all upfront and people aren’t disappointed with any nasty surprises etc. Thanks once again for your review.
