Great App for teaching initial letter sounds, like the sorting sounds baseline feature especially.

I have tried and looked through many different apps, but as someone with a literacy specialism, I can say that this is the most useful app for teaching initial letter sounds. You can get a baseline assessment, and then do further assessments to see progress. Most importantly, the makers of this app have understood that fluency is key to learning, and an inbuilt timer means that if the child can't say the sound quickly, then it needs more teaching. This aspect is essential to maximise learning. Also, the kids love the bugs! Been great for me in school, but also ideal for parents.

Great teaching aid
I am using this app to help teach my four year old phonics, and am impressed by its clean design and usability. It is clear that parent participation makes a big difference, and Cambugs facilitates this perfectly.

Great App, has really helped my son with learning his phonics. The repetition of sounds really worked, Nice simple learning tool that has a good balance between fun and learning. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a good phonics app.
Disappointing!
This is rather boring and limited. Boring lesson in an app. Had hoped it would bring it to life a little more. Jolly Phonics have nothing to worry about! Disappointing - good opportunity not maximised. Dull....sorry!
Fun learning app for kids that really works!
Not only has this app already helped my 4 year old daughter learn nearly all of her letter sounds but she loves collecting the bugs and playing with them in her collection.
The learning method used really works and is helping my child to repeat the sounds quickly and without hesitation.
I'd definitely recommend this app to any parent who wants to help their kid learn letter sounds and be involved and have fun at the same time.
The illustrations which must have been drawn by young children are really cute too!
