Great port - needs fixing
I’m glad to say that this is a great port of Metal Slug, great for long bus trips or train trips.
It is controller compatible (I have a backbone Xbox controller), which works fine except one major problem. There is no grenade button mapped to the controller.
Makes the game a huge challenge for me to play as I have to throw grenades at a standstill, which instantly kills any adrenaline you have.
Please fix this problem SNK.

Terrible in game controls
It is impossible to play the game without getting frustrated with the controls. Moving is very buggy, and shooting/jumping is also very hard. Save your money
Not optimised for mobile use!
Controls make it impossible to play this well. It clearly wasn’t tested by whoever tried to make this game compatible with mobile - because you basically cannot seamlessly move and jump / shoot at the same time
Works but no sound?
It’s great but the sound doesn’t work? That’s a big part of the nostalgia. Can someone help advise what the issue is?
I need my AirPods to hear.
The gameplay is awesome and I’ve been wanting to play it. But I can’t hear anything. And I bought the pack of the metal slug and all the metal slugs have no volume. But if I have my AirPods on I can hear. So I want the metal slugs volume fixed

It is not comparable with my Xbox controller as I can’t use the boms. I’ve purchased 4 metal slugs games yesterday and I’m trying to use my controller but it won’t allow me to throw bobs and there is no letter c on the controller pad please fix I’m using an iPad and I’ve connected the controller to it to get a better game play

Don’t buy this! ACA version is better!
Don’t buy this! Neo-Geo ACA (Arcade Archives) version is superior! Game lags way too much due to lack of updates plus Bluetooth controllers are not fully compatible. Don’t waste your money on this!
Metal Slug/bad controls
Was excited to see this game on the Apple App Store. Great game but lack of controller support and bad touch controls ruins it. Due to this many people have complained. I have decided to look into a class action lawsuit against the developer. This needs to be fixed but regardless I’ll be talking to lawyers within the week.

Controller support does not work, cannot continue when dead as no button works. Rubbish……

Beautiful remake off a absolute classic have so much love for this game grenades great graphics great. only downside is the joy stick but as I’m using a phone I can’t really say I expect much better beautiful well made fully worth the price for metal slug fan
