Good app for learning letter names & handwriting, but very disappointed the phonemic awareness aspect as advertised is lacking (reading eggs usually is good at reinforcing the sounds that the letters make). This could be fixed by using the beginning letter sound when showing the picture rather than the letter name.

Please fix the letter tracing
Fab app - Similar to other great reading eggs products..... Disappointed the iPhone version has an issue with the tracing section - I have 2 frustrated kids trying to hatch their critters because this function doesn't work properly...PLEASE fix ASAP :-) thanks
Potential is there
Dot to dot tracing is badly broken. Poor design makes it impossible to trace in the correct order without bumping into an undesired number. The app is oozing with potential but it is not there yet. Also you guys might consider making full stand alone apps and ditching the in-app approach. Schools are unable to purchase in-app through the broken volume purchase program.

Not convinced yet
This app looks like it will be as good as the other Reading Eggs gear; however, the tracing functions are very sensitive and repeatedly told me I was tracing incorrectly when I wasn't or stopped before I had a chance to finish tracing. My 5 yr old wouldn't give it as many attempts as I did. Will hold off before buying full version.

Great way to learn letters
A great app that's really appealing to a young child and is well made. My 4yo had fun trying out all the different features and she managed to hatch a really cute critter. I let her use a stylus to draw the letters which I think will help her handwriting skills.

What a great app! My child really loved playing this and I feel great knowing that they are learning their alphabet on so many levels. They are learning letter sounds and names as well as how to write each one correctly, this is a winner! Buying the full app now!

Going straight to download all letters! Just played some of the free content and it looks perfect for helping my youngest learn his alphabet (and should help my daughter get her letter writing sorted before school next year!) Thanks Reading Eggs!
