Horrible App

Magazines on the iPad are supposed to come alive. This is yet another magazine that has done little more than string together photographs of the pages of the paper magazine. Each page comes onto the screen as a blur and takes ages to come into focus. The print is tiny and not suited to a mobile device. I have cancelled my trial subscription. Tv times is a far cry from its heyday years. The layout is lowest common denominator weekly chat magazines and too many stories about soaps. As a listings magazine it does not work. There is a huge gap in the market for a listings app that's easy to use, recommends quality TV and can set your sky box to record. The Sky tv app is too cumbersome and hard to follow. Like this app it's over-designed and needs to be flatter and clearer and simpler. You cannot simply turn the printed page into a magazine app without work. Lets hope that Apple who has finally cracked TV will bring out the killer tv and supporting software soon.

Tv Times

Exactly what it says on the tin. This is a carbon copy of the original TV guide without all the annoying junk mail that comes with it.
A great ease of use guide at the beginning and you can leap straight to the pages you want.
After two editions I have subscribed.
If I hand one thing to moan about its that you cannot do the puzzles at the back :)
