I consistently used GrubSouth over other services because I appreciated that it was locally focused and on par with the prices in other delivery apps (not anymore). They ask you to rate your experience and leave comments after every order - I’ve put suggestions there that are just never read. Customer service is either responsive or completely unhelpful. I still have an email about moldy cupcakes from 2 years ago they never answered.
There’s no way to sort the restaurants by delivery fee, distance, etc. They don’t display the star rating or any reviews for the food, so you just guess what’s good (and it doesn’t always pay off). The delivery times are closer to an hour or more no matter when you order (weekend vs. weekdays and times of day). Often my order has been “delayed to keep my food fresh” and it just takes even longer and is cold anyway. On top of that, the app is glitchy and/or slow every time I use it.
Now the fees are $5+ for nearby spots and $15-$30 for things that are 15-20 minutes away. Won’t be using GrubSouth anymore.
