Why 2 Applications
Locked out
Response from developer
We take security very seriously: if you are interested you can ask your childcare provider for details about our security that we provide as part of our contract with them. One part of being secure is making sure that we do not allow access when people get their password or pin wrong, which can lead to being locked out for a period. The childcare provider can unlock your account if you need urgent access. If you think the lock out is mistaken you can also get in touch with us at customer.service@eyfs.info with the email you use to see if there is a fault in the system. Best wishes, Tom
Does not work on iphoneX
Fantastic!
Frustrating security
If the developers can make it easier to access through touch ID then having to enter a pin that constantly gets signed out or deactivated. As well as the ability to download photos and videos that would be super helpful.
Face ID support
Lastly we’ve had Touch ID support in apps for years and now Face ID so why are you pushing your own less secure PIN number option. Face ID would be much more secure. Please support it. It really isn’t hard to implement, I know I’ve done it
Also please improve your picture viewer. Add swipe to dismiss please. It’s a simple gesture recogniser at its easiest inplementation
Great start, some improvements needed
As a practitioner, I love it that I can take videos and record interactions between children. It’s easy for young practitioners to use as well, since all of the development matters are there. What would be useful is to:
See the child’s age in months at all times next to their names, to support assessment.
Be able to add profile picture to the child with the app - it’s a nightmare to upload it to the website and it never gets done.
Get notified as a practitioner or key person if the parents uploaded something for a child or commented.
Easy printing of whole profile for those few parents who still don’t have access to internet.
As a parent I really love it. Love adding my own observations to support my children’s practitioners. I would love notifications when anything new is uploaded for them!
Thank you for the great work.
Good app, a few improvements would make it great
It’s great to be able to access the observations quickly using the pin rather than a password.
I really wish the care diary was available on the app as the nursery is now looking to use this feature instead of a hard copy diary, and logging into the full site is not as user friendly.
I also don’t get notifications when a new observation is added, and no option in settings to change my notification settings. So I end up logging in more often than needed to check if anything’s been added.
Photos have gone very strange
Big bug at the moment: I can’t upload photos from my photo album (iPhone 7) as it repeats the first 18 photos but updates the dates, so I have a history of the same photos going back. This is all photos and the favourites menu. Annoying as I need to do a holiday day of photos for my kids homework.
I’m on iPhone 11.2.1
Great app, just needs notifications!
What really annoys me though is the lack of push notifications. Pretty much every app I have notifies me, this app is such an obvious product that requires this feature.
Currently my wife and I are just both logging in randomly everyday just to check if there’s been an update.
